BETTER DAY

Yes, we are praying for a better day.  Jim and I sat down to eat lunch, I finished first and put my dishes in the sink and came to the computer. No sooner than when I sat down, I heard 'that' awful sound.....Jim had gotten up, somehow got his feet twisted and had fallen and hit his head on the sharp corner of a cabinet.  He has a gash about 2-3 inches long near the top of his head.  I called Murphy and he of course ran over to help get Jim up.  I keep steri-strips, all sizes of bandaids, gauze, etc. and was able to get the wound closed and the bleeding to stop.

Being the old nurse that I am, I made sure he didn't go to sleep for the remainder of the day, for fear of a concussion.  He said at bedtime he was beginning to get sore and was sure today, he would be more so. Please say a little prayer that he heals quickly and the pain is minimal.

Needless to say, we did not go watch Aryn play the volleyball game, and from what my daughter said this morning, it was brutal and she was glad we didn't see it!

Not sure what today will bring, but we just plan to stay close to home. Hope your Friday is a good one.
