THE DAY BEFORE MOTHER'S DAY

The title picture has nothing to do with Motherhood.  It was funny to me, because I could sure use one around here.  With two cats and their toys everywhere, if I could flip a handle and get them all in one place, it would be a miracle.  I find toys under furniture, in chairs, and even on my bed.  I have a bedspread and then pillow shams with same cover on the bed, and have even found a toy or two under those pillows!

In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill designating the second Sunday in May as a legal holiday to be called “Mother’s Day”—dedicated “to the best mother in the world, your mother.” For the first few years, the day was observed as a legal holiday, but in absolute simplicity and reverence—church services were held in honor of all mothers, living and dead.

We all love or loved our Mothers and it is important that we let them know.  Flowers are always a way of showing your love; candy, a phone call, a letter, dinner for them, and many other ways of letting the person in your life that was always there for you....in good times and bad.

I am blessed to be a Mother.

Enjoy your Saturday and don't forget to remember (that is an oxymoron) your Mother!

I love the tinkling of wind chimes!

  1. I saw that cartoon on FB and loved it. We find toys everywhere, too, Linda. It goes with having a cat (or dog). I've watched ours sit and look at the basket that holds their toys and start pulling them out until there is a pile around the basket....then the fun begins! LOL It is their instinct to hunt and hide. Fun to watch and fun finding toys in strange places, too! Have a good Saturday!!
