SEVERAL DAYS LATE, AND DEFINITELY A DOLLAR SHORT!

Today is the day that our whole family will gather to celebrate the gift-giving-breakfast-eating Christmas. With in-laws and jobs, etc., this was the only day everyone could be there.  We are going to our middle daughter's house.  The place may be different, but the food, presents and love will be the same.

I have mentioned before that we give to all of the grandchildren (6), but they draw names, and that way, each family just has to buy 2 children's gifts.  (Each family has two children of their own).  We also put a $ limit for the gifts.

Then the adults sit in a circle and we put the number of adults in a hat and begin. He/she can choose a gift from under the tree or take one away from someone if they prefer. In this game, it is best to be last because you can choose from anyone or take the last present under the tree.  We have fun, laugh a lot and haven't spent hundreds of dollars either!  These gifts have a $ limit too.

It is sad when it is over.  I am thankful this year that we are still alive - some still 'kickin' and some not, but we got to be together one more year.  In a way this is our 'goodbye' to 2014 as well.

What did Tiny Tim say - GOD BLESS US ALL!

  3. I love this game....!! We play it at our Park Christmas party and sometimes the adults are worst than the kids at stealing the most wanted...!

  4. We've played this game a couple times, but due to everyone's $$ limits, we didn't buy any gifts this year. I felt so bad.
    You have a wonderful day.
