PERFECT!

I have always heard and was always told, that a way to a man's heart was through his stomach.  If a guy received this edible arrangement, he would be yours forever!  lol

Good Thursday morning.  We ran the entire day yesterday and I was so exhausted I thought about not going to church.  Since we missed last Sunday night, I just couldn't stay home.  There are so many exciting things going on in my church.  God is moving in a mighty way and I want to be part of it all.

Last Sunday night, a couple visited our church from Cameroon.  Cameroon, officially the Republic of Cameroon, is a country in the west Central Africa region. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west; Chad to the northeast; the Central African Republic to the east.
At the end of the service, our Pastor gave an invitation to anyone that would like to know the Lord and become a child of God.  The lady from Cameroon went forward and was shown in the Bible how to receive Him.  I am told it was a sweet, sweet service and we missed it.  That is why I hate not to be at every service. God gives us so much.

Last night, the Pastor spoke to about 40 teenagers in the service and what wonderful things could be in their lives, if they received Him and lived for Him as the Bible tells us. Again, a wonderful service to see those young people looking and listening intently to hear God's word proclaimed.

Ok, out of church and on to the dentist!  lol  That was our first stop yesterday. A form was made for a partial plate for Jim.  After that stop, we went to the new building site of my old boss's and Jim met with a contractor that is going to repair the parking lot.  From there, we came home, I let Jim out, got him in the house, and away I went to Walmart (ugh) to buy groceries. How can 2 people who only eat 2 meals a day, have a $200.00 grocery bill?  Out of all that, most was paper products, cleaning projects, etc.  (another big ugh).

We ended the day with church, where we were refreshed.

Bill paying day today and then to the mountain to see Aryn's volleyball team play their rival.  It is also the day that an assistant coach from one of the universities is making a home visit, going to have dinner with Aryn's family, go to the game to see her play and get her academic records.  It is an exciting day for her and her family.

.....until tomorrow!

  1. I feel the same way about our church. I miss because of having to work weekends and it seems I always miss something wonderful!
Groceries - I know! Our bills have been terrible. Heather is rarely home to eat, so for us it's usually just 2 too.

  2. That picture of the guy's version of an edible arrangement is funny. I know what you mean about the grocery bill. When you get a week's supply of meat and the taxables (cleaning, laundry, paper supplies) you get sticker shock. You have a good day.

  3. That picture is so funny! We had our groceries delivered today. I do go to a local shop a few times a week for small items, but we like to have our big shops delivered.
    Hugs to you,
    Lauren

  4. I know what you mean about outrageous grocery bills. Living way out in the country the way we do, and with this rampant inflation, I've had to get creative in ways to save money. I've been buying most of our paper products at Dollar General. Their prices are much lower than Wal-Mart or especially the grocery store. Also, try and buy in bulk for the non-perishables. Saves time which saves gas, etc.

I hope y'all are feeling better this evening. I pray that the good health and happy thoughts continues if so.

    Luv ~:)

  5. I go shopping every two weeks (when I get paid) and spend about $150. I always think that's a lot, but when you divide it between two weeks it's only $75/week. And that includes all the non-food items. I guess it's not too bad.

So glad to hear how God is working in your church. How wonderful! We have a a wonderful God. The church I attend is having some great stuff happening too. We just started a mid-week Bible study and a Youth Group. I hate missing too!

  6. We had to do grocery shopping today, after being gone a week and a half. I really hate grocery shopping, but feel blessed that we can go food shopping. Glad you and Jim were able to get out and about!
