WEDNESDAY

Brasil
 Brussels
Kazakhstan
Rotterdam
I think I have received a card from almost all of the world now.  I know I have gotten some from North America, Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. Some are really pretty and some unusual.  This one above from Rotterdam tells me nothing about his country. I think when I get a card from Russia, China or Ukraine, for some reason it amazes me.  I guess because these countries are in the news a lot these days, I think they can't receive or send mail.  lol  Shows you how much I know. But it is still fun to go to the mailbox and see a card or two in there and enjoy reading and learning from others, and not my next door neighbor.

We spent the biggest part of our day yesterday at the pain clinic for Jim.  We both think it is a waste of time and money because really all they do is check his weight and blood pressure and take a urine sample, write prescriptions for the next 3 months and they don't even 'kiss' us goodbye!  lol  He has to go though, in order to be able to maintain his pain medication.  He is to undergo another new type procedure on his back next Wednesday.  I wish I could tell you the name of it, but she said it so fast and it is one of those strung out medical names.  Just pray that it works for him.  He said he would do anything to be pain free or at least be able to walk without extreme pain.

Today we get Miss Elizabeth again, that is, if her Mom doesn't get out of class and can't pick her up.

I am having sciatica pain again, and as soon as Jim gets his procedure, I am going to have to schedule another epidural for me.

Until next time, have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. Pain is exhausting, and mine is nothing compared to what you and Jim experience, I'm sure. We went grocery shopping last night, to Publix and then Sam's Club. I could barely get to the car when we left Sam's. Still waiting for word on my brace. It is exhausting.

    Enjoy Miss Elizabeth's company!!

  2. Goodness... sorry to hear that you're in pain again. I pray Jim's procedure will give him some relief and you will get the help you need.
The postcards are very interesting. It's hard to imagine that some people don't have the freedom to do the simple things, like putting a card in the mail. I'm sure there are several and we take this for granted.
You have a great afternoon with Elizabeth. Take care.
    God bless.

  3. What fun to get those postcards! I feel the same about things from those countries but I guess things are different than we think.
I'm sorry you and Jim deal with all this pain, but am thankful there are things that help.

  5. So sorry to hear about the pain returning and Jim still having problems. I was trapped in a pain racked body at one time. I can sure sympathize. You'll do ANYTHING to stop the agony. I pray that both of y'all will be healed soon. I have to do the medication dance too. Seems so pointless.

The postcards are lovely. I like this blog background too. I'm going to check out the Blogaholic Designs. This one sure is pretty.

I know there will be good times with Elizabeth, for all concerned. :)

    God bless. ~:)
