I avoid looking forward or backward, and try to keep looking upward.

Jesse spent the afternoon and evening with us yesterday.  His Mom and Dad both had to work late.  Bless his little heart, we are old and not much fun, but he was content playing on the porch with a little girl from next door.  Then they went to the front yard and kicked the soccer ball back and forth.  I wish I could get down in the floor and play with him like we used to.
Tomorrow is the last day of school and not only are the kids happy, but I am sure the parents are too!

INTERESTING INFO-----------I KNEW YOU WANTED TO KNOW.......LOL

I saw an old sign that read "Think Safety First . . . Philip Morris" and had a picture of a bellboy on it. What do bellboys, cigarettes, and safety have in common?
The cigarette company's logo -- or mascot -- was a bellboy. In fact, an actor played the role for years, both in TV and radio commercials (his famous line was "Call for Philip Morris!") and promotional appearances. We can't be 100 percent sure, but we think the old signs appeared along roads and highways as public service announcements urging traffic safety.
Do butterflies fly away or hide when it rains?
Check the undersides of leaves or the stems of bushes during the next rainstorm, and you'll find butterflies hiding there. They will not attempt to fly in the rain because the raindrops could do major damage to their delicate wings. Butterflies seek these same hiding places at night or on cloudy days because they rely on sunlight to regulate their body temperature.
What do ducks do in the rain?
Ducks just love rain. They are quite happy to stay out in it, and they often preen their feathers and poke around in puddles. (The British refer to a rainy day as "a lovely day for ducks.") They don't even seem to mind snow or sleet, but they dislike cold and windy weather.

  1. Your grandson seems so adorable. I do believe the last day of school here is next Fri, appart. they didn't take many snow days this year, so they are getting off a week early. Thanks for the smiles. Blessings

  3. The hours Jesse gets to spend with you will one day be precious to him. Trust me. I had the same relationship with my Grandma Mum Mum. I would give almost anything to have her back again. Such a sweet lady.

Interesting facts. Did you also know that Ducks have no feeling in their legs and feet. That's why they don't feel cold.

Hope y'all are feeling good and having a wonderful week!

    God bless, ~:)

Those were interesting facts. I never knew that about butterflies, but it makes sense.
