We had a Sunday School class meeting last night and we always have such a good time, laughing, eating and praying. The only business we had to discuss was concerning a precious lady in our church.
She has been diagnosed with stomach, intestine, and kidney cancer. She is 36 years old, has 4 precious children, no husband, no car, and can't work. She is a light in a dark world when you are around her. She always wants to help someone else, give you a hug or tell you she is praying for you.
We want to help her. She will be going in for the first of many surgeries in approximately two weeks. We want to make an effort to get a love offering together for her. I am sure it is difficult to pay her bills, light bill, phone bill, etc. and that might help her with those things. When you think you have it rough, just think of this lady.

ReplyDeleteYou and your Sunday School class are examples of what we need more of in our world, our communities! God Bless you for your generosity.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that Jim is improving. God is good!
God bless you and your Sunday School class, Linda. I will add your friend to my prayer list. Perhaps you can add her to the Prayer and Praise blog on Friday, so more of us can pray for her and her family. Happy that Jim is feeling better, too! Excellent news to hear. Love & hugs.
ReplyDeleteYour poor friend. She's so fortunate to have y'all as a Church Family. What a heavy burden that has been handed to her. I am so sorry to hear that. I pray she will be healed quickly and the financial burdens be light. Just a thought too. When I had all those terrible medical problems, it put me in the position to witness for Christ to a lot of people before going into surgery. Perhaps someone really needs to hear The Word from her. HE always has everyone's best interests at heart. This will put her in the right place to witness for Christ to him/her. May His name be praised and others brought to Christ.
ReplyDeleteHope you and Jim are feeling well this evening. Luv ~:)
This lady is so very lucky to have all of you in her life.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sad. I'll add her to my prayer list.
ReplyDeleteSo thankful that Jim is doing better.
Sending tons of prayers and hugs....Blessings
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I will PRAY for that sweet friend of yours! I know that God will be with her and her children through it all! Have a blessed day, prayers continue for Jim!
