The older I get, the more I forget.  Do you?  I know what I want to say or where something 'should' be, but the old brain just doesn't cooperate.  Oh, I may remember it or find it next week, but not today!

Jim isn't doing well at all, and would appreciate your prayers.  His strength is almost nil.  He sleeps a big part of the day, and can still sleep at night.  I know you might think it had something to do with the bad fall he had, and you might be right, so we are going to the Dr. this week for sure.

If you are my friend on Facebook, you already know this, but if not, here goes.....
Aryn and her family made the trip to the college of her choice.  They toured the whole campus, Aryn played in a scrimmage basketball game, and she came home with a verbal commitment to play for the University of Alabama, Huntsville, Alabama.  The picture is of her in the middle and the head coach on the left and the assistant coach on the right. She will have not just an athletic scholarship, but a merit scholarship as well, and will not have to pay for anything.

She will stay in the athlete's dorm and everybody has a private room. There is a living room and kitchen, and on each side are two private bedrooms.  Each room has a full bath.  Needless to say, they were all happy at what they saw. Even her younger sister approved! The coach is very big on academics and she has to maintain a 3.0 average at all times.  She liked and felt comfortable with the basketball team and is looking forward to being there next fall.

Hint for today:

Clever carpet tip

If your furniture has left dents in your carpet, try this clever trick. Drop an ice cube in the dent and leave it overnight.  As the ice cube melts, the nap will fluff up. In the morning you can mop up any excess water with some paper towel and the dent will be gone.
My cat picture for today:
Have a great day!

  4. Congratulations Aryn! That is so great that she got into the college she wanted. Kids grow up so fast, don't they? Prayers going out for Jim. Joe sleeps most of the time too. Sometimes it's better because I know where he is and he isn't falling, but it's tough to have someone that sleeps the day away. Prayers for you too as you take care of him.

  5. College time, wow! I can't believe we're starting a new year. All three of mine are in college this year. It's a strange feeling having three young adults who live on their own. Anyhow, sorry to hear about your husband, will keep him in my prayers. I've heard that tip before and I think I'm gonna try it tomorrow in my daughter's old room. anyhoo, have a great day!
