'BOUT GONE!!!

Yes, our garden is about gone.  The only thing left are a few cantaloupe and a pepper or two.  It is such a thing of beauty when it is in full bloom, but when it starts dying, it is pitiful to look at.  When the garden is gone and school starts, to me, that is Fall on the horizon.

We had a storm yesterday and it definitely cooled things.  I love those sunny days when it is cool enough to sit on the porch with my first cup of coffee. The sky seems bluer and the air cleaner.

Church tonight for us and that is our day!

Use compartmentalized boxes for small things you need to keep organized, like batteries.

  3. I love to use those compartmentalized boxes. I have several of these type of drawer organizers and love them! How I envy you who can simply go out to the garden and pick fresh produce! I'm glad your garden has given you so much delight.

  4. The summer has just flown by, that's for sure. Seems like yesterday when you were telling us about Murphy planting the garden. Your background makes me want to make vegetable soup!! Now that's a fall thing for sure! Cute cat photo!! You do find some good ones for us! Enjoy your worship service tonight! Hugs.

  6. Ours is gone, but we started sooner than Tennessee folks. In a few weeks it will be time to get ours ready for Fall planting. Next year I hope I remember to plant Watermelon. They're $5 a melon now! Ay chihuahua! *lol*
Hope you have a wonderful evening at Church.
    Luv ~:)

  9. This summer sure has gone by quickly! Sorry I haven't been on blogger in the past weeks. Our baby has been in and out of the hospital. He is now feeling better and we are enjoying being a family at home.

  10. I will miss fresh veggies and fruits this winter. We've had a few mornings where we could sit by an open window with our a.m. coffee!

  11. Your description of cooler mornings on the deck with your cup of coffee is just an ahhhhhh. How very pleasant it must be. I'm also thinking fresh cantaloupe has to be especially delicious.
