BETTER NIGHT, BETTER DAY

Good Sunday morning.  I pray your day will be just what you want it to be. I will worship with my church family and always look forward to that.

My night was much better.  I did take my advice and have something with potassium in it, as well as taking a potassium tablet....no leg cramps at all and slept through the night.  Hoping my day is as good.  No falls for Jim yesterday!  His head is healing nicely...lol  We tell him he is definitely 'hard-headed'.

Aryn and her family are at the University of Alabama, Huntsville this weekend for an official visit.  We are so hoping she felt comfortable and that this school is a perfect fit for her.  If so, she will give the coach a verbal commitment to go there and play basketball.  She will have a fully paid scholarship, even down to her food.

It is so hard to believe that August will be gone in one more day.  As school begins, the days somehow get clearer and the air feels different. Before we can turn around twice, it will be fall, and then winter.

The 242nd day of 2015
24 days until autumn begins

My hint for today:
Is it necessary to clean the inside of my dishwasher? Yes, even the inside collects dirt and gunk.  Inspect the bottom where grease and food particles could get trapped.  Push a wad of paper towels or sponge into the bottom to absorb any of that stuff.  Then pour several cups of vinegar into the bottom and run a cycle.

My cat picture for today:

  1. I am glad to read that about Jim. Praying for Aryn, I know how hard it is to make a decision about colleges...keeping you in prayer sweet friend.

  2. Good luck to Aryn. Hope that all goes smoothly and she settles right in.
I'm so happy to hear that Jim is remaining vertical. Poor guy must be tired of getting injured.
Is there anything white vinegar can't do?! I use it for lots of cleaning projects too. It's good for cleaning the coffee maker. I put a little in each of the drains when leaving for an extended vacation (that way there's no musky odors upon return). Clean the counters, wash my hair once a week, and so forth. It's great and safe.
That is a very bad cat. *lol*
    Luv ~:)

  3. I am happy that the potassium worked and you were able to sleep better last night. Yes, one more day and it's September. My daughters are already talking about planning an Autumn party. I'll have to go to Pinterest for some help with that. Have a lovely Sunday, Linda... :)

  6. It's amazing what throwing our bodies just a little out of "normal" can do. Just a little extra potassium and I am so glad you are feeling better!! Also glad Jim stayed upright yesterday! Prayers lifted for Aryn. That is a truly amazing opportunity and I hope she understands how important having a full scholarship is to her AND her family. We are heading out to St. Pete Beach, hoping to stay ahead of any heavy rains. Have a blessed day, Linda!

  9. Blessings to you this Sunday. Thankful that Jim is healing and that your leg cramps are better. Praying for Aryn's decision; you must be so proud of her. Light rain here today and cooler. I am noticing changes that fall is just around the corner. I would like to buy some apple cinnamon or pumpkin spice hot tea soon!

  11. I blamed the weather for myself. I woke up at 5:30 and didn't fall back to sleep, then I was still wired at almost 3am this morning. Finally an other trip to bathroom, a small drink of water, my prayers again, and I fell sleep and woke up round 7:30am. I'm ready for a nap at the moment and just might take one here at 4:30. Just going to be Kahn's All Beef bologna sandwiches and soup for supper tonight. Of course, Abe likes his fried. I prefer mine cold with a little mustard. I brought home a roasted chicken from grocery which we ate around 1:30 along with Cranberry salad and Elbow mac salad. Have a great evening, stay safe and in an upright position.
