POST FALL

First of all, thank you for your sweet comments yesterday and I apologize for not commenting on all the entries, but I did read them and enjoyed visiting with each and every one of you.

Every inch of my body is aching this morning due to the fall yesterday.  I know it will take a few days to pass.  As I grow older, the aches and pains take longer to recover.

Jesse spent the afternoon and evening with us.  He is such a delight.  You would think a 7 year old boy would drive you crazy, and yes, he does at times, but it seems since his parents have separated, he is more serious and quiet.  I know he has to be confused and wanting things to be like they used to be.  Or is he? He told his Dad that all he and his Mother did was argue, and he didn't do that when he was with him. Trust me, children are smarter than we give them credit for.....the picture is he and his Dad watching 'Shark Week'.
Leigh and her girls are in Nashville until Monday, for an AAU basketball showcase.  So far they have won 1 and lost 1.  This will be the last, as Aryn will graduate this coming school year and be moving on to college ball.

Jenn and her family, plus MIL and FIL, all left for Florida this morning.

Murphy will work tonight and Jesse will stay with his best friend, and come to church with them in the morning.

Hint for today:

  1. Linda, I sure am sorry about the fall. That is a cute pic of Jesse and his dad. I had never seen the chocolate bell peppers in your previous post. How unusual! Hope you will feel better very soon. xo

  2. I'm sorry to hear that you fell. It's so true that we don't recover as quickly as we did when we were younger. I do hope you'll be feeling better soon and I hope you're able to relax this weekend... :)

Cute pic for Shark Week! We live with a 7 year old grandson. I just love kids and all their many personality traits :)

  6. Fall? Did I miss something? I had no idea you fell. Keeping you in prayer.

I always enjoy hearing about Jesse! He is so sweet and I agree, children know more than we think. Chuckling over the photo, I am glad Shark Week will be over with though, so my shows (Alaskan Bush, Deadilist Catch etc) will come back on. NO thanks on the sharks, LOLOL. (and I agree with the pictures, they scare the beejibers out of me, lol)

Keeping you and your family in prayer. Have a beautiful Saturday, Linda, hot here in western NY (near 85*). Blessings

    1. I like Alaskan Bush People too! I fell flat on my face, but on carpet, and other than sooooo sore, I am ok.

  7. I'm sorry to hear about your fall. It does seem to take longer to recoup as we get older! I hope you bounce back soon. Children are so often more perceptive of things. I hope that Jesse adjusts to the change in his family. I hope your family enjoy their Florida vacation. Have a blessed evening.

    1. Terri, I tripped coming into the bedroom, from the utility room. Fell face down, and other than a scrape on my arm, and being sore, I am ok. A wake up call to pay more attention to everything around me. Thanks for the prayer.

  9. You fell?! I must have missed that memo. So sorry to hear that. Please be careful and tread lightly my friend. A bad fall was the start of two surgeries and lots of pain medication for me.
I'm hooked on Life Below Zero, Ice Road Truckers, and a few others. The Alaska shows are fun. Have no desire to live there but don't mind watching others struggle. *grin*
Stay safe y'all. Hope your evening is blessed and uneventful. ~:)

  10. So sorry to hear about your fall. I'll keep you in my prayers and hope you are feeling better soon.

I love your tips. The one on salt in a frying pan and this one about toothpaste. I will definitely have to try them.

I have seen (and used) chocolate peppers. My girlfriend thought they would taste like chocolate and was disappointed when they tasted like peppers!
