LADIES BANQUET

The speaker at our Ladies Banquet on Saturday was very, very good, and spoke about things we all needed to hear.  She spoke about our relationships with our husbands, our children, friends and family.  She was very 'down to earth', in that she talked about her marriage of 27 years, and how it was not perfect by any means.  She gave examples, and how God worked out the 'kinks'.

 The men of the church were our servers and did a fantastic job.  Even the young men helped and also did a good job. 




The picture on the left is the line to get our food from the buffet. The center picture is our speaker, Mrs. Kelly Jo Bates. And the picture on the right is two of the servers.

The theme was 'Pearls of Great Price'. We had 157 ladies from all walks of life and I have heard nothing but good comments. There was good food, good fellowship, games to play and door prizes to be given.  We had a program at each plate and at the bottom of the program was a number.  When your number, or if your number was called, prizes were given.  These were things that were donated. I came home with an unusual gift for sure.
It is a cake plate....

    It sounds like such a nice banquet. I would have enjoyed it! I think it's nice when the men dress up and serve like that.
