Life really can be fun, even at my age. We can choose to be an old 'sour puss', or we can choose to live life while we can and enjoy it along the way. For me, I want to always be in the front seat! I don't have time to be in the third. Life is short, let's live it.
'Blood Blues' is my current favorite TV show. I like that it shows a family.....at it's best and at it's worst, but they all seem to stick together and work out any problems. It shows respect, laughter, and four generations that still live in the same house, eat at the same table, and say grace before they eat. Oh, I know, it is only a TV show, but the end always seems to work out, and there are lessons learned. I am not from a big family at all - maybe that is why I enjoy the show.
One of our nephews, who is a captain on a boat out of Galveston, Texas, hauling building materials, etc., is coming for a visit today. He works 2 weeks on the boat and 2 off, so when he is off, he has to make it count. He is one of those guys that is so smart, it is hard for him to carry on a conversation with 'peons', but he tries....lol,and we enjoy seeing him.
No plans for the weekend, we will just have to wait and see what comes up. We had a really really bad storm during the night....the loud thunder and lightning constantly. I woke up but able to catch little naps between the noise. It is still raining but not heavy.
I love that show too! Happy Friday to you too! I am enjoying every breath of this life:) Have a blessed and beautiful day dear friend! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThat's a TV show we haven't seen. How can that be? I'll have to watch for it now, Linda. Thanks for the heads-up!! You are so right about living life and being positive! Hope the rain didn't cause any damage, and that today is lovely for you! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with that television show, but I will have to check it out. I hope you have a great visit with your nephew today :)
ReplyDelete?Blue Bloods? We like that too, I think it comes back on tonight. We also like the reruns on the other channel. Besides, Tom Selleck is still a hunk, lol. Laughing at your header, lol. Blessings
ReplyDeleteDuh, yes Linda, Blue Bloods. Thanks for the correction.
ReplyDeleteLOL Linda--we all call it the "Bloods" here. No big deal, I was confused and had to search my brain because I couldn't remember the name, LOLOLOL. (shaking my head, that's pretty sad, isn't it? smiles)
DeleteThat photo is priceless! I hope you have a nice visit with your nephew and no more storms to wake you during the night. We have had a lot of rain today but no storms, thankfully. No plans for us this weekend either. I'm not familiar with the show you mention. I'll have to look into it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Front Row person too. :) We had a club meeting last night at a local restaurant for the Swamp Riders. One of the regular members brought his wife for the first time. Let's just say, she is a Third Row person and me with my First Row attitude ... well, we where like oil and water. I just quietly moved away from her. Too much poison may make my food taste bad. Yuck. *lol*
ReplyDeleteHaven't watched the Blue Bloods but I hear it is popular. I'm probably missing a good show. I kinda lean towards British productions.
Luv ~:)
I like your Header! I haven't watched Blue Bloods but I bet I'd like it. Enjoy the time with your nephew.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the show Blue Bloods. I usually watch only news and HGTV or Food Network. I'm not much for drama.
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a third row person. But the world needs both first and third row people. What would it be without first row kinds of folks?
Hope you had a good day with your nephew.
