ERRAND DAY

This will be my 'running around' day!  I have an appointment at 11:30 for my last eye check from the cataract surgery.

My printer is totally out of ink, so need to go to Wally World to get one of those cartridges.

Am going to a retirement event for the mother of one of my son in law's next Wednesday and am thinking of a gift to give her.  Someone suggested wind chimes and I think that is a dandy idea, so going to Cracker Barrel to look for one.

While at CB, I am going to purchase a watch face. They have the faces and bands and I have probably 10 or so of the bands.  They have all colors and styles and I just need a face.  I can switch out the colored bands.

By the time I do those things, this old lady will be exhausted and have to head home and take my afternoon nap.  When I typed that I felt like I was my grandmother....lol

On this date in 1975, my Mother had a heart attack and passed away.  She was only 60 years old. I was only 34 and sure have missed having her see our children grow up and having them know her.

The moment a child is born,
the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed,
but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new.

  2. Sending you a hug on this day as you think of your mother. I like the quote about a mother being something new as I look forward to the arrival of our first baby in a few months :) I hope all of your errands go well today :)

  3. Hope you found the chimes and watch face you need! Joe doesn't care for Cracker Barrel (gasp!) so we rarely go there. Not sure what his problem is, though I think it has more to do with the crowds than with the food, which he always ends up enjoying. Anyway, ours is about 10 miles north of where we live, so I just never get to see what they have in their very fun gift shop! Hope the eye doctor liked what he saw, and I send a hug to you on this anniversary of your mother's death. We really never get over losing our moms, I think. Mine was only 65, and it has been 20 years (this coming December).
