YAWNNNNNNNN

At 2:30 am this morning my eyes popped wide open, and for the life of me, I couldn't go back to sleep. It always happens to me if I have an early appointment the next day. I do have appointment at 9 am to have my right eye checked, following surgery.

Our weather forecast is for 2-4 inches of snow, beginning around 3 pm, so if it truly does, I will have to call and cancel my surgery for Thursday morning at 7.  I was really hoping the snow would go north of us, but actually it has gone below, into Alabama and Georgia.  Being on the line of both states, we will get what they get.  It is aggravating me terribly not to be able to focus.  My right eye is clear as a bell, but my left - with the cataract still there, is fuzzy.

So, you know my exciting day.  Have to get the milk and bread!!!

GOD BLESS US EVERYONE

  1. It's time for winter to go away!! Maybe you'll get lucky and the snow won't be in your area after all. Putting off the surgery is not fun, when you have already prepared yourself to get it done. Fingers crossed and prayers lifted. Be careful out there in that nasty stuff!

  4. I know what you mean, the day I had to go to the doctor, I was also awake early, for fear I would over sleep and not be ready when daughter got here to pick me up. Today Abe had an appointment at 9am, for a Medicare Physical, mostly they ask a lot of questions, she drew blood, I think mainly for his usual blood work, but again, I was awake early, since he wanted me to go along. We did go out for breakfast afterwards, I had a Belgium Waffle and two little sausage links and hot cocoa with whip cream. Abe had a ham omelet, no cheese and a sausage pattie, toast and lots of coffee. We weren't hungry at lunch time, so will have supper around 5pm. Nothing much else this week, he gets a haircut on Friday, I usually drive him so I can drop him off in front of the barber, and then I park and watch and wait for him. Perhaps I'll get lunch out of this appointment, since it's an 11:30 appointment. Then next week is pretty free, except my one brother and I that are co-executors of our Mother's estate have to meet in Greenville Ohio with the lawyer at 10am. Hopefully we'll find out how the wrongful death suit is coming along. We're also fighting those pesky little brown ants. We have it almost every year, but usually in the fall and spring we drop this powdery stuff all along the foundation and we find that helps. This past fall I didn't get it done. But believe me I will this spring. Good luck with the weather and your appointments.

  5. I'm sorry to hear that you were wide awake so early! I often wake up super early when I have an early appointment too. Hopefully you will be able to take a nap sometime today.

  6. Winter refuses to release it's icy grip this year. I hear that North Georgia is not even being spared an Arctic blast as I 'pen' these words. It's raining cats and dogs and quite cold here. It is time for Winter to leave.
Hope your final eye surgery will be soon. Take care and stay warm! ~:)
