I have wanted to live in a log cabin for as long as I can remember.  I stayed in one in the mountains of North Carolina once, and it was exactly what I would want.  I don't go 'shopping' much any more, so it wouldn't matter if it was in the woods away from town. The one I stayed in had a hot tub on the front porch, and the view from there was fantastic....fireplace of course, swing on the porch, of course.....sigh, maybe my mansion in Heaven will be like that!  lol

Thankful Tuesday:
I am so thankful for my Lord and Savior.
I am thankful for my family.
I am thankful for food to eat, a roof over my head and a soft bed to sleep in at night.
(It bothers me to  see 'homeless' people pushing a grocery cart with what       looks like, all the belongings they have.)
I am thankful for my silly cats, that amuse me, comfort me and give us both enjoyment every single day.
I am thankful for friends, friends here in blogland, church friends.

That is it for today!  GOD BLESS US EVERYONE!

  2. I could be happy in one of those log cabins, too, Linda. Loved one we stayed in, in the Pigeon Forge area. It was very much like the one you described. Nice! But God has blessed us, with or without a cabin in the woods!

  5. I think log cabins look heavenly too. Before we built this house in 1993, I looked into building a log cabin on our property. It would have cost about the same as our current "stick built" home but it involves a lot of continuing maintenance. So, I nixed that idea. One of our neighbors lives in one that I absolutely drool over every time we go past it. They are so pretty.
I'm very thankful for all the things you've listed. I feel so blessed to have a home, full belly, comfortable clothes, transportation, good health, etc. I know we've worked for and earned all these things but I still thank the Lord Jesus for allowing us to have them. He is the provider for all things that are good in our lives, including such wonderful friends. Thank you for being one of those wonderful friends. I hope today has been happy and full of good news for you both.
    God bless. ~:)

  7. I'd like to have a cabin in the woods too -- with WiFi, of course. Maybe you do have one waiting for you.
My list of blessings is very similar to yours. We have so much to be thankful for. I've been told we have homeless people in our little town, but I've never seen them, especially none with shopping carts. I feel so bad for them and each one has a horrible story.
    Blessings.

  8. We have the log cabin part, but I'll tell you - the wifi is slow to nonexistent. If I have to do anything big online, I come to town! ;-)
