TIME MARCHES ON!

We have a new chance starting tomorrow, to get it right.  Time won't wait, as we all know too well, so do it, do it right, and do it now.  Use time well.  Don't waste time by wondering if you should or shouldn't..... First, pray about it; pray until you get the answer; don't procrastinate for you can turn around twice and it will be done...with or without you.

Yesterday was an exciting day - NOT!  I went to Wally World for milk and bread and of course came home with $120.00 worth of 'stuff'.
Once I got the stuff put away, I started mounds of laundry.  How can two people, who rarely go anywhere and definitely don't dig in the dirt, have so many dirty clothes? I changed beds, cleaned bathrooms and did several of those piles of laundry.

Today, down go the Christmasy items around the house.  Dasher, Dancer, Comet and Cupid, will shed their hats until next year!
Jim cooked some collard greens (for those of you that don't know what they are, just accept them, and go on.  Linda, I know you know!) and black eyed peas.  I will make the cornbread today and we have a piece of Jenn's Japanese fruitcake for dessert today. Hopefully, we will have enough 'green money' and 'coins' to see us through another year.  Yes, that is a southern tradition.

What are your traditions for the new year?

.....more Life Lessons.....
It's OK to let your children see you cry.
Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living, or get busy dying.*****
You can get through anything if you stay put in today.
A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
Burn the candles; use the nice sheets; wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
Over-prepare, then go with the flow.

May God bless you and yours in the upcoming New Year.....come on 2015, let's see what you have waiting for us!  Open a new book........

  3. Thank you for the bits of advice. I certainly can relate to going to the grocery store for an item or two and coming home with much more.

  4. I love this new background you have today (the writing tablet and pens). I know what collard greens and black-eyed peas are. Remember, I'm a "misplaced Southern girl". hahaha
I'm the same way when it comes to Wallyworld. I can't seem to get out of there without leaving them $100+/- of our money.
Sending wishes to you and your hubby for a happy healthy new year.

I spend about the same, and also wonder how we get so much laundry.
