THE DAY AFTER THE BIG DAY!

Looking in to see if you had a good day yesterday.  We sure did and were very tired when we got home, went to bed early and slept all night without trouble.

Family means everything, especially at special times.  We visited two of our three, and were able to talk to the other one.  All the grandchildren seemed to be happy with their gifts.  We reminded them, there is one more day on Sunday for the family breakfast and gifts. Yesterday was spent at the individual homes.

Our day began with breakfast at our oldest daughter's house and it was so good.  She had made a casserole with ham, cheese, hash brown potatoes and eggs.  Yum!  We also had orange cinnamon rolls and crescent rolls, O.J., and coffee.  We had taken a jar of our homemade apple butter to them, which got the crescent rolls eaten quickly.
After their home, we traveled across town to our middle daughter's home and enjoyed seeing what the two girls got from 'Santa' and spent time laughing and talking.  She sent us home with some sticky buns coated with chopped pecans....Yum again!
Our son and his family had gone to his wife's Dad's house and didn't get home until almost dark so we just talked to him and heard about their day. Sorry to say, we didn't get any pictures of them.

Today the "Best Of Preps" starts their yearly basketball tournament and yes, of course, Aryn's school is playing at 10 am. We are still deciding if we are going or not.

Some good news on Aryn though, is that she made the State Volleyball Team!  It was published in the paper and was a 'gift' to her and us.

I have seen many of your pictures on Facebook, but looking forward to hearing how your day went.  We are now looking forward to a New Year.

GOD BLESS US ALL

  3. Sounds like y'all had a picture perfect day. It's so heartwarming to hear that. :) We've been down with head colds (yuck) but otherwise am happy and healthy. Didn't get to have our Christmas dinner. We'll have that later this week. No problem.
Congrats to Ayrn! She is such a do-er.
Hope y'all are healthy and happy this week. Luv ~:)
