WOE IS ME!

I was a little bored last night.  We didn't go to church because I was sick to my stomach and having a little diabetic 'spell'.  I slept most all afternoon, and when I woke up, I was somewhat better.  Every time I got out of my chair, I was dizzy and weaving, thus the reason for not going.

Late last night I came to my computer to see if I had emails, etc., and planned to shut 'her' down.  I had this brain storm to put all my pictures into my cloud drive and free space for new ones.  Ok, So I did put all the pictures of family members, church activities and misc. into the drive.  After that, I went back to see if I had done it correctly and lo and behold, the folder that I had all my title pictures, cartoons that I use from time to time, was out in space somewhere.  I looked everywhere I knew to look, and no file.

Do use a cloud drive?  Does it actually free up space?  If my computer should die, can I retrieve the pictures from another computer?  HELP!!!

  1. That's awful Linda! They have to be out there somewhere! Have you Googled to see if others had the same problem? To be honest I don't have a clue as to how the cloud works. My brother in-law was telling me that I should use but I have no idea how to! I hope you find your file soon and I hope you are feeling better!

  2. My photos are backed up to "the cloud" but I don't store things there, other than what goes into my DropBox. I move pictures from there to my hard drive, where they are backed up automatically by Carbonite. I'm afraid I'm no help to you in trying to find the missing folder. Try searching for something in the folder than you know is there, and the search may find it.... Good luck!!

Hope you are feeling better today!!

  5. Gosh, I can't help you with the computer problem. Don't use the cloud and have no intention to. I put everything important on DVD's or a thumb drive.
I pray you're feeling better today. Blood sugar spells are spooky. I have low-blood sugar and get the dizzy / stick problems too. Prayers for your healing.
Oh, and I hope the photos are found soon. Speaking of which, I just remembered, there is some feature on all our computers where you can go back to whatever date and the computer will be the same as it was. Might wanna try that and see if the photos are still showing? Nothing is ever really deleted, you know. Good luck!!
    Luv ~:)

  6. I purge all the photos I blog about, but I'm afraid to get rid of the family pics. I know they are in there, but I just don't like to think about losing them. Of course, the kids only do digital. It actually drives me crazy because I like photos the old way. My daughter promises me that I will get both.
