True friendship comes when silence between two people is comfortable.

Do you have a friend that you can be quiet with?  Does he/she understand what you do NOT say?  I am blessed to say I do have a friend exactly like that.  We have known one another for 46 years and she can tell if something is bothering me just from being around me. When I saw this Charlie Brown picture, I knew that was our friendship.

Friday - how did you get here so fast?  Goodness, time is flying by.

Jim has another tooth bothering him and he is going to try to get in to see his dentist today, and if so, that will be our plans for the day.  The weekend is free too!

Have a blessed day!

  4. My Mother and I could sit and not say anything and that was ok. Sometimes she would fall asleep for a few mins, and I would let her sleep, sometimes I fell asleep for a few mins. and she would let me sleep. She could tell by my voice on the phone if something was bothering me. so then she would let our one daughter know and that daughter would check things out with me. Seems, Moms know when something isn't quite right without us saying anything. I do miss her so.

Have a great week-end. I'm hoping to do a little grocery shopping Sat. I don't enjoy it much. Since daughter has to work, Granddaughter has to be at the school by 10:15, this will be their last competition for the year. She's in the Marching Band. They were able to move out and stay at their own place this past Wed. So her Mom will have to work two 12 hour shifts back to back, and Audrey will be alone. The shifts are 7am until 7:30pm, then it takes about 30 mins to get home if she can get out of the hospital on time. I've told Audrey if something scares her or she wants to come here, just call me. It's only about 1/2 mile away. They've lived here for the past 6 years until she could get on her feet again and graduate from nursing school. Now she's working on her bachelors, Here in Ohio, the new RN's will need a bachelors degree. I think she had six years to get it done, it will just be 1 year this coming Dec. that she graduated from the RN program.

It's still chilly out side today, but temp says 47. More later, hope hubby's tooth and the pain go away and it will stop hurting him.

  5. Poor Jim...hope he got in to the dentist. ---I know this might sound corny, but my husband is my closet friend. We have been bf for 33 yrs, and he knows when to be quiet, not say anything or even he knows when something is bothering me. He also makes me laugh, I might complain at times about him...for a former tough Marine, he surely has a soft spot. Shhhhh...don't tell him I said that, he would deny it. Blessings
