SQUIRREL GOSSIP!

'Idle talk or rumor, especially
about the personal or
private affairs of others.'

I thought the title picture was cute, but then I read the meaning of it and realized that could be some of us.  I really and truly do not like to hear or get involved in gossip of any kind.  My theory is, if you don't like someone or something, pray about it, or keep it to yourself.  It adds nothing to life.

Our visit to the doctor went very well for both of us and we don't have to go back until February.  He did adjust some of my meds though and we will see how they work.  I appreciate my doctor so much.  I told him yesterday that I wish all physicians were like him. I think I embarrassed him, but his reply was that he was the same, in and out of the office and I believe it to be true.

I know you have seen the commercial for Progressive Insurance and Flo. She advertises you can attach this gadget to your car and get cheaper rates.

I have Nationwide Insurance and they have a similar gadget and I received mine yesterday in the mail.  I attach to my car, and it registers my driving habits, ie. too fast, too many miles, and other things.  I have to have full coverage for those 60 days.  After 60 days I can go back to liability only.  I keep the gadget in for 4 months, send it back to the Company, they will check it and lower my rates altogether.  Stay tuned!  lol

It is 41 degrees, the sky is bright blue and it finally feels like fall. Have a great day!

  1. Good morning!
So glad your appointment went well. : )
And now, enjoy the lovely autumn days.
We have had nice weather, but today is windy and chilly.
I'm putting some soup in the crockpot...
Have a cozy day, my friend!

  2. It's cool, breezy, and sunny today! Yay! I was becoming very weary of overcast skies. I need to mow one more time, though, thanks to all the rain. That's OK. Gives me something to do. *lol*

I've researched the gadget the insurance companies offer to car owners and it only records breaking strength and frequency. If you drive really easy, that's all they measure. Really, the device is useless. Just makes the insurance companies feel justified in raising rates. I worked for a Life insurance company for years and learned to be very distrusting of their motives.

We'll be remodeling our almost 22 year old house soon. This'll be the first debt we've carried in over 8 years. *sigh* Stay tuned. :)

Hope y'all are having a pleasant and happy weekend. ~:)

  3. Sparky, I worked for Nationwide Ins. for 8 years. I had a talk with my old boss, and he said I would lose nothing and probably would gain a lower rate, so nothing lost, nothing gained. I wish we could remodel, but we are too old and too tired. Have a nice October type weekend.

  4. P. S. the gadget does monitor more than speed and since I am the 'old lady from pasadena' in my driving, it might help. lol

I agree about gossip... we need to try to stay far away from it.
