LEAVES, LEAVES, EVERYWHERE! AND MY TBT PIC!

Good Thursday morning!  I can't ever remember the different days and what everyone does, posting certain pictures. But this morning, I found my TBT picture!

I am guessing, but I believe it was 6 years ago, as the baby my son is holding, has to be Jesse and he is now 7.  He looks like he is under a year old.

This is one of the last pictures I have of 'my' family.  The couple standing on the right, is my Aunt and Uncle, and they are both deceased, and they were the end of 'my' relatives.....I have no parents, grandparents, no brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles or cousins - all gone.  We were at their house for our Christmas celebration.  I just created a family...two daughters, one son, the DIL, SIL, and precious grands, plus Jim and me....that's it.  All 14 of us!

My Uncle in this picture died in July and 6 months later, my Aunt died. He had cancer, and she suffered from dementia. After he died, she moved to Chattanooga and lived in an assisted living home, and I took care of her until she died.

Having eyes checked today.  I definitely need new glasses. Other than that, the afternoon is free!

  4. I'm glad you have a wonderful family of your own. I can't imagine not having other relative. My Dad had 11 kids in his family, my mom had 10, so I have lots of cousins.
I like the picture you shared - it's fun to look back!

  8. Well here it is now, Oct. 31st. We had an appointment yesterday with the foot doctor, we get our toenails cut. It's too hard to do ourselves anymore. My Mother asked me some time ago, why we didn't do that, she said Medicare covers most of it. So off we go one every 3 months. We won't have to go again until Jan. I woke up with a sinus headache this morning, I guess it's all the mold in the air and I was out quite a bit yesterday.

That's a very nice photo. I'm fortunate, I still have two brothers left, one sister-in-law, the one brother lost his wife to cancer about 2008. Plenty of nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. And of course our own five children and several spouses, but only five grandchildren. They range in age from 33 to 14.

Hope the two of you are doing great. Also hope you had a nice Halloween. I was mean this year, kept my lights off and drapes pulled. Is there such a things as a Halloween Scrooge? LOL
