I find it so true that the anger or the grudge you have against someone else, only ruins your peace and happiness, not theirs.  Let it go!

When I have hurt feelings, or am angry at someone, all I can do is pray about it, until it passes.  It does pass.  My coping mechanism is to block---things, people, hurtful words, etc.  But I have learned that sometimes you can't block and have to forgive.

We went to the dentist again yesterday for Jim and then to the bank, did our due there and home.  I think I have sleeping sickness!  As soon as we got in the house and got settled, I sat down and before I knew it, was sound asleep.  Miss Spot jumped up into my lap and that was my wake up call.

Today, no errands, and we get to go watch Aryn's team play for the District Championship.

God bless each and every one of you and hope your Thursday is a good day.

  1. I find myself guarding my heart by blocking people that have hurt me... but forgiveness is what's needed!
    Hugs to you!

  2. HA, Love the doughnut!--I hear you on the hurt feelings..praying does help..I have the same sleep sickness, the time 8 pm rolls around, I am in bed. Then, again, I do get up at 4:15 am..Blessings

  3. Such a true statement and a good one to be reminded of. I like the donut!

  4. Re The holding onto the hot coal: That's a good saying. Like most people, I have a lot of callouses from holding onto anger. It took me years to let some things go but even with prayer, and a very loving husband, I still occasionally have nightmares about past hurts (mostly from my 'father'). Then I wake up feeling angry and mistreated again. It's getting better but I guess I'll never be completely healed until I'm in Heaven. *grin*
I agree with the donut, eat more HOLE foods! *lol* ~:)

  5. Yum, I love those hole foods!! LOL Joe says donuts are his favorite food group. I agree with you about holding a grudge. It only hurts yourself, not the other person. Forgiving is so much better for us! Love you, Linda!!

  6. Oh yeah. You are so right. I've been burned more times than I care to think about. So much right now that I need to let go of. Thanks for reminding me, Linda.
