Won't you join me this morning for a cup of coffee, tea or cola?

Hoping today will be a quieter, slower day.  At 9:15 we went to the lab at the hospital, for blood to be drawn for procedure.  From there we went to the Surgery Center and was there at 10.  At 12:10 he was taken back to the OR.  I had taken my Kindle so I went out to the car and read.  Reading always makes me sleepy, so I dozed off. At 2:00 I got the call on my phone that he was ready to go home.  We left, had to swing by the pharmacy to get prescription filled and then home.  It was nearly 4 pm when we came in the back door.  Worn out.  Both of us. Early supper and early bedtime.

We both said we slept good, but I am still as tired as I was when I went to bed. Jim says he is not feeling the best either.  They did laser some bone fragments in his back and then gave him a strong steroid injection.  They also told him it would be a few days before everything took effect.

Jim takes a medication called amiodarone, a substance used in the treatment of heart arrhythmias, and has to have blood tests regularly.  This medication has many side effects so they have to test his blood.  We have an appointment at 1:40 today.

Tonight Aryn has a volleyball game at her school and it is against their arch rival. We both want to go, but only time will tell.  We will see how we both feel at 4 this afternoon.

So, how is everyone this morning?  I promised myself I wasn't going to moan and groan, but here I am, doing it again....lol

My new kitty, Spot, and her step-sister Cali are getting along beautifully.  Jim always said Cali was 'crazy', but he now says Spot is way worse.  We caught her climbing the drapes in the living room yesterday!  She will climb or jump on anything, anywhere. The only place that she hasn't conquered yet is the mantel, and that is where Cali goes to get away from her...lol But all in all, she is fun to watch and she is a 'snuggler' like Cali.

No more news from Chattanooga, so have a great day and God bless each and every one of you.

  2. You're not moaning or groaning. I'm glad that you can share these travails with us, your friends, so that we may share the burden and pray. That's what friends are for. :) I only feel great sadness that y'all are having so many physical difficulties. Well, here's praying that the procedure will give Jim relief very soon and that he has no more problems.
I hope also that Aryn's team stomps the competition. *giggle* You Go Girl!
It's overcast, cooler, and rainy in SE Georgia. Sure feels and looks like Fall now.
    Have a blessed day. ~:)
