UPDATE ON KITTIES!

I know you get tired of hearing about my cats, but that is the most exciting thing going on in my life right now.  Bare with me, and I will get over it soon.  Neat cat traps huh?  They love sacks and boxes for sure.

The two are getting along just fine.  Cali is so much bigger than Pipy and yet, Cali thinks she can play hard with Pipy.  I have to scold her now and then, but as far as Cali hissing at, biting or being mean in any way, she hasn't.

Pipy is a climber.  Every time I sit down, no matter where in the house, she follows me and climbs up my clothes to my lap.  She is definitely a lap cat!

The major thing we are battling is fleas.  Pipy was an outside kitten and I am working diligently to get rid of her fleas.  I looked online and one suggestion was to bathe her with blue Dawn daily.  I had some here so have done that.  She isn't too happy about it, but if I can wash those fleas down the sink, we will both be happier. She is about 2 weeks shy of me being able to put flea medicine on her, so the bathing will have to do for now.

My son is building a tree house for Jesse, his son.  He has a fellow that is a contractor helping (actually doing most of the work) and it is coming together. Here are a couple of pictures of what they have gotten done so far.  They have two huge maple trees in their front yard and the tree house is being built around one.

The pictures are before yesterday.  Yesterday they got the ladder going up and started on the railing.  There will be a tin roof, and safety features all around. Jesse is jumping up and down to get it finished.  Murphy said when he got up in the tree, he thought Jesse might have a better understanding of how high he will be when finished.  lol  My son is a good Daddy.

We are already thinking about 9-11.  It is next Thursday, and we are praying there will not be a repeat.  With so much tragedy going on in the world, I wouldn't be surprised at all, if our enemies did something similar.  We all need to be praying for protection of this country, as well as those abroad fighting for our freedoms.

I will leave you now and hope you have a good Saturday.

2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

  1. I'm glad Pipy is settling in so well. Kittens are so cute and fun to watch.
The tree house is great! Your son really is a great dad.
I'm thinking about 9/11 too and the same thing has occurred to me. We're going to be out of town that day and I'm praying nothing happens.

  4. Fleas are so hard to battle, but sounds like you are doing all you can until she can tolerate the prescription flea dose. Our vet is suggesting a pill for cats now, that used to be just for dogs. We only need to do it once or twice in the summer. Even though ours don't go out in the grass, once in awhile a flea will show up - coming in through the screening around the pool or on someone's shoes. It's great that the two are getting along so well already!

  5. That is going to be one neat tree house when finished. Jesse should enjoy it a lot.

As for cats, our daughters cat loves paper sacks and also boxes that are too small, but he still tries to fit in them. Our dog and cat get along quite well.

It was a rainy, cooler day here, in fact I dozed off several different times, for some reason. I was really tired. Yesterday I grocery shopped, ran over to our daughter here in town to check on her two house cats and two out door cats (two different trips) Dropped Granddaughter off at school, picked her up and then took her back to catch the bus for the marching band to go to Anna Ohio for a football game. Thank goodness her Mother was home from work to pick her up around 11:15pm. Also did up three loads of laundry, guess that was way more then I'm use to doing in one day. And yesterday the things outside I am allergic to were high and it was exceptionally hot an humid.

Have a great Sunday. Hope hubby is doing well.
