ALONG CAME A SPIDER, AND SAT DOWN BESIDE HER!

I was out on the front porch yesterday, watching the finish on the tree house next door, and looked toward the road and saw the above spider web. We have had more spider webs this year than I can remember. They are everywhere.  Every single day when I get in my car, there is one from the side view mirror to the door.  I tear it down and the next day, it is back.  I walk through webs everywhere....the screen doors are covered and I have to tear them off. Have you had many?  Does it predict what kind of winter we will have?  (That is a bird feeder made from dishes!)

Aryn's volleyball team won in 3 sets, and we were able to go see them play.

Today Jim is meeting with my old boss to give him some advice about the parking lot of his new building.

I am going to try, now try mind you, to hang the rest of my next bedroom curtains.

We have no plans this weekend, but who knows what might come up!

  1. I have the same problem with a little spider on the side mirror of my car! I really do not like spiders so my hubby is repeatedly knocking down the web for me.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, whatever you do! I don't have any plans yet. Much depends on the weather.
    Take Care!

  2. I haven't seen many spiders this summer. And only one web. It was on our porch swing. I'm not sure what that means when it comes to the kind of winter we'll have. Haven't seen any caterpillars either.
I love your bird feeder. That looks like one the birds would like... saucers instead of a tiny perch like mine has. I just threw out some feed for our sparrows and I watched them fight like kids. It's always fun to watch them.
    Congrats to Aryn's team.
You take care and have a good weekend.

  4. That is a grand web! We haven't had many spiders this summer. A couple of years ago they were all over the farm. Always nice to see their beautiful work.

  5. Spider webs are magnificent, aren't they? But I sure hate plowing through one accidentally. It's that time of year here too. I find their handywork everywhere.
I can and do keep lots of secrets. Should I name them? *lol*
Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

  6. That is a HUGE spider web. I actually haven't noticed as many, so maybe they are all up there with you, now. Creepy things. Congrats to Aryn and her team on another win! Awesome! Hope you got your curtains up! Secrets....yes, I can keep them when I have to.

  8. Linda, there is really nothing fancy about them. They are just light blocking brown curtains. I will take a picture when I get them up.

  9. We actually had fewer spiders than usual here this summer and I was wondering why as well. It was much colder and more damp and they are predicting a colder winter...who knows, I was just happy not to have to deal with the creepy little things!
