Have you ever or do you have, nights where you hear every little squeek, every car that goes by, and toss and turn?  I had that last night and am not sure I actually slept one whole hour.  I am worn out and the day hasnt even started. This coffee better do it's trick!

I have mentioned before that Jim owns a cemetary. He, Murphy and Jesse went there yesterday to mark off graves.  That might seem odd or morbid to you, but we are all going to die someday, and we feel it is easier on those left behind, if everything is in order.

Do any of you still use AOL?  I am just curious.  I did use it at one time, and thought I might check it out and see if there anything new.

Maya Angelou was interviewed  and asked her what she thought of growing older.
She said it was 'exciting' regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day.....like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.  She was such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

'I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.'

'I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.'
'I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as 'making a life.'
………………….to be continued

  2. Good grief, I was like that last night and now I am in a brain fog, was telling Sparky I have been writing and saving posts..anyways..not morbid, love that idea. My husband & I have discussed this and finalized plans as well. As for the bra pic, lol..thanks for the chuckles, since I had a double mastcomey(sp? brain fog, remember, lol)--I don't have to worry about that aspect..smiles. Maybe a nap is in order for later? Blessings

  3. I dread nights like that, and do have them now and then. Usually on a Sunday night, with the work-week looming. Hope you have time for a nap today. I agree about letting our loved ones know of our final wishes. It is so important that we make those decisions now, and not leave them with so much to do when they are hurting over a loss. I learned this the hard way, with my dad and brother. Mom made it much easier for us by making the decisions ahead of time. It's not morbid, it's just life. Have a good day, Linda - go take that nap!!

  5. I had a night like that not too long ago. I thought by shutting my bedroom window it would help but it didn't. I hope the coffee does the trick for you! Walt and I have our graves picked out and we are paying on them for the next 2 years. It will be one less thing for the kids to worry about. We will be next to my parents and on the other side my sister and brother in-law. I love the quotes from Maya Angelou. She was a very wise woman!

  6. Oh, yes, I have had nights like that. The biggest problem is when it's time to get up, that's when I'm finally able to sleep.
At this age, I think the cemetery lots are very practical.
I had AOL back in the early days of Internet. I have a couple friends who still use it, but I don't and I have no idea what it's like today. If you try it, let me know what you find out.
Have a good day, my friend, and I hope you can take that nap.

  7. I hate having nights when my mind won't shut down. I have sleeping pills but don't like taking them. Hope you could nap this afternoon and will sleep well tonight.

Never had AOL. We used dial-up after first moving to the country but I think it was a company called Gate. I guess AOL went the way of buggy whips.

It's not morbid to plan for death. It's wise! I've already written my obituary, had a Will done, and know where my body will rest too. When we can afford it, and if the Rapture doesn't happen during my lifetime, I plan to go ahead and buy a tombstone. It's gonna happen might as well make it easier on my kinfolk. ~:)
