A friend sent these to me, and at first I thought, what are they, but as I looked on I realized that most, if not all, were in my youth - growing up time. Bet some of them were in your younger days too!
The track team that Aryn is on, won again yesterday at sub-sectional, and now they qualify to go to the state competition.
(Aryn is second from right)
Have a wonderful weekend.
After I made this blog, I realized I had already put pictures of track team, etc. Forgive.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your grandaughter. Yep, I remember some of those: Toni, Pixie Sticks, Dippity Do, Pins, the stockings, the Jukebox, I grew up in alot of those..well..the jukebox was in the 50's right? But, I remember going to restaurants as a kid. Blessings
ReplyDeleteGood morning!
ReplyDeleteAnd the cough drops!!!
I remember having a box like that when I was young....
We could take them to school, but we had to leave them on top of our desks. In the corner. Funny the things you remember, isn't it? Have a cozy day. Chilly here!
I am a baby boomer, born in 1956, so these are definitely things I remember. Thank you so much for this wonderful trip down memory lane!
ReplyDeleteI am always happy to see photos of your amazing grandchildren! Congratulations to the girls! As for the walk down memory lane - yes indeed. My mom had Evening in Paris perfume and I used hers now and then. Her favorite was Chanel #5, so she didn't mind me using the 'toilet water'...remember THAT name?! LOL I never wore hose with seams, but remember my mom and grandma wearing them. The rest - very familiar! Love your background and heading today! You always find the most creative and colorful backgrounds to use! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI remember a lot of them - Toni, diaper pins, Dippity Do and Pixie Sticks. That was fun!
ReplyDeleteThe only one I don't recognize is the very top perfume but I can't read the print. Those where fun days.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your postings of the "grands". Aryn sure is a winner. She's going to go far in life.
God bless. ~:)
Congratulations to your Granddaughter. Sounds like she's doing great.
ReplyDeleteAs for the items you showed, at my age, I know them all. Have even given myself a few home perms as a teenager, they had one that you used Bobbie pins instead of curlers. That was the easiest for me to do. But the smell was horrible.
Have a great Sunday, sun is trying to shine here, which is nice.
Congratulations Aryn. She always amazes me. She's such a great athlete. The trip down memory lane --- I remember every one of them. Some I wish we could still buy. (and I don't mean the diaper pins -- hahaha)
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a great weekend.
