THE BEGINNING OF THE END!

He rode into the city on a donkey.  Some loved Him and praised Him. Some hated Him and shouted vial words. But, came He did.  He knew this was the beginning of the end of His earthly life, but He loved us enough and still came.  Hosanna to the King!

Yesterday I asked who had palm branches in their church on this day.  I got several different answers and they were all right.  Years ago I attended a church where the children came down the middle aisle, carrying palm branches.  It was symbolic of what took place so many years ago.

It was a beautiful day yesterday and my children and their children took advantage of being outside in the sunshine.

Jesse played a double header in baseball and even though we didn't get to go see him, we got many pictures sent by our DIL.  He actually won the game for his team and got the game ball!  It was the last inning, two men on base, and they needed one run.  He struck out twice, and the third hit was a line drive down third base line and they won.

Caroline and Elizabeth and their parents, Jennifer and Kelly, went with the Girl Scouts to an area with waterfalls and creeks, and they got to hike in the woods.

Leigh, my other daughter and husband Harv, went car shopping and then went with Aryn to play a scrimmage game on her new AAU summer basketball team.  I didn't get pictures of that, but when it was over, I did get an email saying it was a good game, Aryn did well, and the team seemed like a really good fit for her.

Jim had a 'charlie horse' in his leg and it hurt so much to walk on it, so we old folks stayed home. He rested with alternating heat and ice, and I sewed!

Have a blessed day.

  1. I used to enjoy car shopping. The joy is gone now that they all are so expensive. I never thought I'd be spending more on a transcient item than what our first house cost in 1981. There is such terrible inflation these days.

And Charlie can keep those horses! *lol* I've had one too and they really hurt. Hope Jim is better today.

Hope your day is a happy one with no aches or pains.

    God bless. ~:)

  3. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. It seems like either Jim or I, have a new 'ailment' every day, but we will keep on keeping on!

  6. Easter is such a beautiful holiday. It's always special to me.
Yesterday was a very nice spring day for most of us. I certainly enjoyed it, being able to go outside without a coat. Wonderful.
I started having those leg cramps and my doctor told me to drink more water and when it happens to rub Icy Hot into the muscle. That's helped a lot. I now keep a tube on my dresser.
You and Jim have a great day.

  7. I'm back! I've been going through many (and I mean many) of your older blogs looking for something you wrote before.... the recipe for the Wendy's Frostie. I'm sure it was you. You wrote that your day was going to be quiet and you were going to make some that evening. Could you send it to me? Thank you. Love and hugs

    1. 1 can condensed milk, 1/2 gal chocolate milk, 8 oz cool whip -- Like a Wendys Frosty

The KEY to this recipe is to mix all the ingredients FIRST, then pour it into the ice cream maker. SOME people might try to just dump the ingredients into the ice cream maker individually….but THOSE people would be very much mistaken. lol. Trust me on this one. You will end up with a BIG MESS on your hands. (Not that *I* would know anything about that. *cough*)
Carol, the ingredients and their amounts depend on the size of your freezer. this is for a large one. Mine is the smallest and I had to just guess. But DO mix in a bowl before you pour in the freezer..

  8. Look at all those smiling faces of your grands! So nice to see happy kids! My Hubby gets charlie's from time to time, he finds it's usually because he's not well hydrated.
