A day or so ago, I had a heading of eyes...today, lips that we can use for the glory of God.

As usual, I don't have anything exciting to share, so will fall back on a very important question!  lol

Question of the Day
What is the origin of the trap door in long underwear?

In 1910, the Cooper Underwear Company addressed one of the greatest clothing conundrums of the day -- the union suit, which was the standard for men's underwear. This single undergarment covered the wearer from wrist to ankle, keeping him warm in the days before central heating. Unfortunately, a trip to the bathroom or out-house meant totally disrobing, a somewhat vexing undertaking. To solve this problem, the Cooper Underwear Company introduced a revolutionary garment: the Kenosha Klosed Krotch, a union suit with two pieces of the body fabric lapped over each other like an "X." When the wearer needed to use the opening, this lap could be drawn apart, eliminating the need to totally undress. Incidentally, this company is very much in existence today as Jockey International, Inc.

Happy Hump Day!!!

  3. Very interesting. Now on Little House the men wear them all year long and never take them off. They even bathe in them. Ugh! hahaha
    Have a good day.

  5. I needed that back when I used to hunt so much. The only thing I hated was if Nature called it was an almost total disrobing in the middle of the woods. Not cool! Or I should say, it WAS cool because it was gosh darn cold out there. *ha ha* Thanks for sharing these interesting facts.
    God bless. ~:)
PS: Funny your blog should display lips after the stuff I've been going through with the fever blisters. Great minds do think alike!
PSS: Yeah, I'm feeling better. Thank YOU for all the prayers and kind thoughts. :)))
