Church was so good last night. The message was on love and the Scripture was Galatians 5:22-26. The first fruit is listed as love. I don't know if you do it in your church, but I take notes or make a journal, whichever it is called. I have a journal entitled "Christian Life Journal, (unto the furtherance of the Gospel)". It is my third copy and I like to look back over the years and see where I have come from and to see where I am going in my Christian life.
The statement that our Pastor made last night, that stuck in my mind, was "Love is of God because God is love." He is true agape love - divine love - the only way God loves; unconditional love. I want to love with agape love. Because I am human, I have to work at having that kind of love, and to be honest, it is sometimes very hard. But onward I go!
Hint for today:
My cat picture for today:
I always wish I could stretch like cats so. It always looks like it feels SO good! (I know - yoga - but I can't get on the floor anymore.)
ReplyDelete“Agape" is loving a person for exactly who they are - not who we hope they'll become with enough fixing. It's this idea that every person has their layers, so you can never confine a person to only what you know about them from the first glance. It's stacked on the premise that to love anyone is to hope in them always.”

Excellent post, Linda! Hugs.
I love your look here today.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for God's agape love!
