One of my sweet blog friends posted yesterday that the background I used was a 'keeper', sooooo, I won't change it today....will just be changing the title picture!   The #2 is day 2 with same background...lol

Class meeting was good last night.  We had good food, fellowship, laughter and prayer together.  There is a lady in our church that has cancer in 3 places in her body, went for surgery and they had to close her without removing anything due to the fact that she had a stroke while on the table.  She can't work, is only in her 30's, has 4 children, no car and  so sick. When you think you are at the end of your rope and can take no more, think of this sweet lady.

Our church took up a love offering last week for her, and our class took up one as well. Several of the ladies in the church have taken her grocery shopping. They ride one of our buses to and from church, and another reason we are so thankful for our bus ministry.  We are hoping she will be able to pay her rent and utilities and keep 'a roof over their heads'.  When you pray, add 'Melissa' to your prayer list.

Hint for today:
Your Fall To-Do List--
Make sure to prep your home before the weather changes!

You already know to put fresh batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors (doing it on the days you change the clocks for Daylight Saving Time is an easy way to remember).   If any are more than 10 years old, replace them.

  1. Adding Melissa to my prayer list! What a SAD situation, God please help this sweet Mother! AMEN! Have a blessed day, HUGS!

  2. Oh so sad. Oh my goodness, we don't know the trials that others are facing. Will be praying for Melissa. You are such a sweetie. Yes, I believe in bus ministry. It has become a lost ministry in the church. I can remember when we started the bus ministry at our church. I was a little girl but I wanted to help. One of the teachers would bring breakfast for them to eat, a hairbrush to brush their hair and sometimes clothes for them to wear. Blessings on your church family.

  4. Like the fall look. So sorry to hear about this dear lady. Have a great day friend.

  5. I feel so bad for that lady. She is so young.
Your header really is a keeper!

  6. Poor Melissa. I said a prayer for her and family. I hope the next post about her there will be an improvement in their lives. And also, may her situation help bring someone else into the fold of eternal salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I do really love this background. It makes one feel festive for the season.
    Keeping you all in prayer.
Hope your day is blessed. ~:)

  7. Melissa is on my prayer list, Linda. What a blessing your church and class are to her! Your background is fun! You could easily keep it around until Halloween, just changing the header. I do love seeing what you come up with each day, though. The cats do resemble the owl....or vice versa!

  8. So sorry to hear about Melissa. Such a sad series of events. I'll be praying for her also. Having a bus ministry is a real blessing.

  9. I love the background and the photo too! The owl/cat is cute too. :)
So sad about Melissa. So much to deal with. I'll pray for her.

  10. I love the backgrounds...keeping Melissa in prayer. Blessings
