IN THE GOOD OLD SUMMERTIME!!!

As hot as it has been in many states so far this summer, ice cream sounds like the 'drug' of choice.

Homemade "Wendy's Frosty" for the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker - only 3 ingredients! 1/2 can (2/3 cup or 7 oz.) Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk; 1 & 1/2 cups (4 oz.) Cool Whip; 4 cups chocolate milk. Mix all ingredients together, pour into an already running ice cream maker and churn for 20 to 30 minutes.

Tastes and looks just like a frosty!  Worth the try.  This type ice cream freezer is worth the money, if you don't have one, get one!  You will be happy you did.

While looking at the ingredients, I also found one for homemade condensed milk.
Make Eagle Brand milk from SCRATCH?? .......  3/4 cup powdered milk 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup hot water Blend until smooth. This recipe equals one can of store bought condensed milk.

Ok, now we can stay cool and gain weight at the same time!  Not sure if that is a winner or loser.

My cat picture for today:

  2. I always forget to tell you I love the cat pic SO today, I will say it first. This sweet cat looks like she is reading!!! We love Frosty's. Thx so much for the recipe and the review of the freezer - we do not have one. I love your background today. Funny story about a Frosty.....when mama lived with us, even in winter she would want me to drive her to get a frosty and we would turn on her heated seat in the car until she finished her Frosty!!!!!
Have a good day. It just started raining here and we need it!

  3. A very cute cat photo! You have me looking forward to seeing what you found for us each day!! Last year (or was it two years ago?) with your recommendation, we bought one of those delightful ice cream makers. I think it might be time to get some homemade ice cream going.....

  5. I think an ice cream maker would get me into a lot of trouble, although I would enjoy every minute of it! That cat picture is adorable. I hope you're staying cool inside on these hot summer days.

  7. Huge fan of ice cream here too! The recipe sounds heavenly and easy to fix. We've been giving ourselves a treat on Sunday evenings by driving down to the new DQ in Blackshear for a small Blizzard. We take "the boys" too. The little lady that runs the drive thru window gives us two tiny vanilla ice creams in a top for each dog. Isn't that too funny?! They love it. Now we all look forward to Sunday evenings.
Hope your day is cooler and y'all stay safe.
    Luv ~:)
