CHANGES COURSES!

As I was changing my title picture and background this morning, I thought what I would post would be boo-boo, poor me, but instead I got a comment from a new friend. What she posted make me smile, and I changed courses or changed gears.  I am now smiling.
At the last minute last night, Jesse's Mother did not come to get him as expected, so I volunteered to stay home from church to keep him.  I took Jim and then picked him up after the service.  Why didn't we take Jesse and both go?  He was left here at the moment we were to leave and not time to dress myself and go over to his house and get him some clothes.  If you know me, you know I do not like to miss church service, but at the same time, we do what we have to do, right?

Besides a new cat picture every day,
I will be posting helpful 'hints'!

My cat picture for today:

  3. God sends just the right person into our lives to encourage us, doesn't He? So glad that Dee stopped by to make you smile...she has a lovely blog and is very sweet. (As are you!) I will continue to pray for Jesse's situation. xo

  6. I'll try this again, third time's charm, so they say. LOL

Also when replacing hearing aid batteries, I was told, once I pull off the little sticky tab, let it sit on the table for a few moments before putting into hearing aid, they work better. At the moment, my one hearing aid isn't working properly, and I all ready paid $500.00 on each one some time back to have them repaired. I told Abe, I didn't intend to have them repaired again, will check out a new pair, cost wise. Have a good week, and thanks for your visits.

  7. We just store all of our extra batteries in our garage refrigerator. They do last longer that way, I believe! Love the Welcome sign with the Ball Jar vase. Very cute!! I think you can probably always just figure Jesse's mom will be a no-show and then be surprised if she does show up. Such a sad situation. Jesse is so blessed to have you right next door.

  9. Wonder what Jesse's mother is up to? Anyway, maybe he could keep a set of Churchin' clothes at y'alls place. You know, just in case ... I think you're being such a positive influence in this young fella's life. Being around other Christians will be a Big Plus for him later on.
    Cool idea about the batteries.
    Luv ~:)

  10. Love the kitten...that's one relaxed cat! Very unlike the one I saw on the evening news a few minutes ago.

One of my favorite self pep talks is this: Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be broken. Sorry that your plans changed on a dime. You're a good grandmother.
