My son took his son Jesse and a friend swimming yesterday. He is my grandson I know, but he is the cutest thing and always makes me smile.
And seeing him and his Dad together makes my heart sing. Several of Jesse's friends came to join him in the freezing cold pool!
After swimming most of the afternoon, I would say Jesse was worn out and needed to sleep!
On another note, I used to be the one that planted flowers all around the house, had hanging baskets everywhere and really enjoyed summer time. This is all I could 'muster' this year.It is an old table from when my son had his restaurant, the gazing ball came from someone's yard, and two chairs came from 'outer space', and the hanging basket, my daughter gave me for Mother's Day.
Jim and I are having trouble finding anything we want to eat or anything we even like. I made a sausage casserole yesterday, along with cooked cabbage and a baked sweet potato. Sounded so good, but when we got it on the table, none of it tasted good to us. We almost play a game every day, trying to decide on what to eat. Is that something that comes with old age?
I am still smiling!
You're right....Jesse is as cute as can be!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Grandchildren can sure make us smile, can't they? I am always trying to make dinner interesting:) We have several things that we love but I try to mix it up a bit! Enjoy your day dear Linda, BIG HUGS!
ReplyDeleteJesse and his buddies look like they were having fun. I love your little sitting area and the pretty hanging plant. We have the same problem thinking of something to eat that tastes good to us. We have been known to eat a bowl of cereal or oatmeal when nothing else sounds good. Remembering you and yours in prayer.
ReplyDeleteWell...Linda, I will add to your smiling--love your title page and how true is that!! We have the same issues here--deep freezer full and "nothing to eat." Sigh
ReplyDeleteLove Jesse--he is so adorable. Your son is handsome too. I also love your sitting area--I have not bought any baskets or flowers or vegies this yr--too B-r-o-k-e, wink.
Have a good Sunday,Linda. Blessings
P.S. Linda, when I switched to my new email addy--it seems I have lost many email addresses. Could you please be so kind as to send me your email? lindamconley@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda.
Jesse is so cute! Glad he had such a nice day!
ReplyDeleteGood to have smiles.
ReplyDeleteI guess it is age because we are having the same problem about food, things just don't taste right any more.
Brag away about that sweet boy, Linda! Looks like they had lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't do anything in the yard anymore. Your table and the gazing ball are more than we have here!
Joe and I eat out more than we should, but we go through the same thing you are talking about. What to eat...what sounds good....how hungry are we... it goes on and on.....
Hi Linda, What a cutie Jesse is. Looks like they all lhad a fun day. My hubby and I struggle with what to eat each day too. We don't eat as much as we did when we were younger and some days nothing sounds good at all.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet bistro area outside.
Happy Memorial Day.
Hugs, CM
Jesse looks like a sweet, young man!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post so much.
ReplyDeleteI miss my grandsons.
And for sure- we enjoy eating out.
No clean up!
