Good Friday morning to all. This has been a short week for some, and I know you are looking forward to a couple of days off, if possible.
We had a delayed birthday get together for Jim yesterday. His birthday was 5-27, and he is 83 years old, but the family couldn't get here until last evening. We just had ice cream and cake, but it was yummmmmy! Murphy made homemade vanilla ice cream, and had strawberries from his garden, some pineapple topping, and chocolate syrup. Jenn baked her Dad his favorite chocolate/orange cake. Leigh and her family could not make it, but will come another time.
Don't guess you have seen Jim since he became our local Santa Claus!
We are all thankful he is still with us, eating cake and ice cream. He has had a rough year.
Let us never know what old age is. Let us know the happiness time brings, not count the years.
I know Jim enjoyed his favorite cake. It looks/sounds delicious. The home made ice cream would be a real treat, too. It's been years since I've tasted home made! I know you treasure these special family times together. I hope Leigh is feeling better every day. Have a nice Friday. xo
