So true.  Sometimes a person doesn't have to say or do anything, they just are always there......there if you need a helping hand; lending an ear if you need to vent; sometimes to listen to you rant and rave and not judge; and sometime just to give you a hug.  I have a friend like that, and hope you do too.

Even if my friend disagrees with me, she will still listen patiently and then give me that hug.  We have known each other for 45 years + and 95% of the time, we agree, so it is easy to be there for her, and her for me.

I don't know how or why I missed reading some of your blogs from yesterday but I did.  I did read them, but did not comment(wanted you to know..lol)....just came on to today.

Moving on.........I don't know where I saw this, but thought it was such a good idea. I bought a new vacuum cleaner about 2 weeks ago, and am anxious to give this a try.....can't hurt!

Here is another hint that I found.  Jim probably has 20 caps and switches out over and over.  I have washed them in the regular washing machine, but when I saw this idea, thought I would give it a try. You may not want them in your dishwasher, but they will be clean when finished and not harm your dishes.

Have a wonderful, sunshiny day wherever you are.  Be a friend by just being there.

  4. I have a friend like that. We've known each other since high school. That's about 45 years give or take. I always say old friends are best. You don't have to explain yourself to each other and you know they have stood the test of time.

I have lots of newer friends too. I hope to keep them long enough so they too are old friends.

You have such a good blog. Always something to think about.

  5. Old friends are always the best friends and are such a blessing! I would never have thought to put baseball caps in the dishwasher. Let us know how it works, please! Lots of times I read and don't comment, Linda. Sometimes I really don't have anything to add in a comment, so just enjoy the post and move on. You are not alone! (Though it is always nice to get a comment!)

  7. Thanks for the great tips. I have a childhood friend that is like your friend. It is truly a blessing and God has also blessed me with dear, precious blog friends (like you). We rarely leave home these days and blogging is a real gift!
