BITS AND PIECES!

Hoping everyone had a blessed Easter.  We surely did.

We went to church.  The music from the choir, plus special music, the message, the children and their Easter parade, just made the morning incredible. The song "Because He Lives' was played and since that is my favorite song, I shed a few thankful tears. We are so blessed to have so many children in our midst. They are the future of the church and being taught now, will be something they can carry for the rest of their lives.  Three people accepted Christ as their Savior and that made what Easter is all about even more special.....Jesus died on the cross and took our sins, so that anyone who accepts Him as their Savior, (John 3:16), can also be assured of Heaven.  (ok, I am through preaching...lol but my heart is just full of happiness.)
After church, we came home, changed clothes, and headed to one of our daughter's house for lunch. Again, blessed, as my two girls cooked everything....I mean everything, even down to homemade rolls and coconut cake made from 'scratch'.
Our son and his family went to his wife's family for lunch, so we only had two little ones to hunt the eggs. Aryn is 17 and her sister, Grayce, is 13 and they got to hide the eggs for Caroline and Elizabeth to find. There was a price egg of course and both the little girls some way found it together. It had a 'cash' prize inside, so they divided it.

The year’s at the spring
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hillside’s dew-pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn;
God’s in His heaven -
All’s right with the world!

  5. What a blessed Easter you had with family and church. It's nice to enjoy food that someone else has prepared every once in a while. My family has an old story about home made coconut cake. Mama made one for my brother when he was young. He begged for a piece but she told him he had to wait til the next day - his actual bdy. He got up the next a.m. and the cake was covered in black ants!!! NEVER did mama make us wait for a piece of cake again!
