REMEMBER WHEN?

Good Saturday to all!  It is supposed to be really nice spring day and we do need some sunshine to dry the puddles and grass.  The flowers and trees need that sunshine too.

I recently discovered a Facebook page entitled, "Chattanooga of Yesterday".  As I looked through the pictures, memories came flooding back.  From the history during Civil War, to the streets and buildings of my teenage years.  Many people around the country know Chattanooga by either, Lookout Mtn., the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, Rock City or the Incline Railway.

Have you ever heard "See Seven States from Rock City?"  I never understood that one, but I do know I personally can see Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. Tennessee is connected to Kentucky, North Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas, Virginia, and a tiny spot of Missouri!

We have a wedding to attend at noon at our church, so that will be the excitement for our day.

MEMORY IS THE DIARY
THAT WE ALL CARRY ABOUT WITH US!

  1. I remember visiting Rock City and indeed, you see 7 states. I so love Chattanooga and we have stayed at the Choo Choo. Have fun at the wedding. (no sun here today, the snow has turned into rain now)--Blessings

  2. I don't think I've ever visited Rock City and would really like too. Chattanooga has a lot to offer.
Our area is expecting even more rain tomorrow. I'm not gonna complain. Come summer we'll be praying for it.
Hope you're having a sunny, relaxing day. ~:)

  3. You have seen the picture of me, in my grandpa's arms, at Rock City! I was too young to remember, but that was my first introduction to Chattanooga! I love your city and we need to come back for a couple of days, so we can see more of those wonderful sites! Hope the wedding went well and was fun for all!
