Can you tell, I have been working on my blog since I woke up this morning, and still don't have it exactly the way I want it.  I have another blog friend whose layout is the way I want mine to be, and not change backgrounds every day, etc.  I will get there sooner or later.

A family in my church was hit with a 'ton of bricks' yesterday.  The Dad went to the Dr. and found out he has cancer, and is scheduled for an MRI and bone scan.  Then the doc will decide a plan of treatment. He is one of the 'back-bones' of the church. Teaches Sunday School for children, leads the singing when the choir director is away, helps with the electrical in the micraphones, lights, taping of sermons; is a part time driver of one of the vans picking up people, and also helps on Wednesday nights with Kids For Christ; takes care of the mowing, and cooking at the Men's Prayer Breakfast, etc. You can see why I say he is one of the 'back-bones".  His wife is my Sunday School teacher, teaches on Wednesday nights too, cleans the church, plays the organ and piano when needed.  They have 3 daughters, and two of them are extremely involved as well.

Our Pastor gave an illustration Sunday night......he said, take a piece of paper, draw a line down the middle.  On one side put God and on the other, Me. Think of all the things in your life that only God can take care of and put under His name.  Then think of the things in your life that you can do, and put under your name.  Hmmm, God's side is much, much bigger than yours.

One of the gentleman's daughters asked him if he could handle any of the big things in life, and he said 'no....only God can take care of them  She then said, 'that is the way we will handle the cancer - let God handle it and give us peace'.  In other words, let go, and let God!

When you pray, would you add 'Jim B.s' name.

John 15:7 -
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you,
ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

  5. Abe just saw something on TV yesterday about using the polio vaccine to kill cancer cells. It seems to work. Don't know how many are using it yet. But that's hope. I like the wall paper you are using, or background what ever it's called. So far today the wether is perfect. Could be a little warmer, but compared to the 0 or below, I'll take what we've got today. Trees are high for people that have allergies. Hoping everything turns out great for your friend.
