PATIENCE (or tribulations)?

I have already had a major event this morning and it definitely tried my patience.  I really try to pay all our bills before or at least ON the due date.

I had received the Verizon bill for January and it said due by 1-17-15.  I started trying to pay it online on that date.  I went all over their website and it wouldn't let me pay.  I contacted a person online and was told it was a system error and my bill actually was due 5 days after the due date, giving me time to pay without extra charges. That didn't make sense to me, but I wrote all that down, copied the conversation and waited.

Today, the 22nd, I came to their website again and attempted to pay.  Still couldn't pay.  I contacted Verizon again and was told my bill would be printed today and I should pay by that one, instead of the one I have already.  I copied all that conversation too, and will patiently wait.

Why me Lord?

I have had some feelings lately about my age, Jim's age, what is and what will be. Maybe that is part of trying to keep everything on track, for fear one of us won't be here to pay everything. Do you ever get weird/weary feelings?  I know....I turn it over to God every morning and every night, but I can't get rid of it....not yet anyway.

Ok, I have troubled you enough.  I really do love this day!

GOD BLESS US EVERYONE (And even Verizon)

  2. They better mark down that you called, and not try to give you late charges! That kind of thing can be so frustrating.

  3. I dislike Verizon so highly that I would use tin cans and string before I would get another account with them. That's all I'll say about that!

I have most of our bills on auto-pay. I don't have to worry about due dates that way. It works for us.

You are still young, Linda!! Love you!

  4. I know how frustrating it can be to deal with computer errors. It can make life seem so stressful at times. I'm happy to hear that you were wise and copied those conversations!

  5. Yes, I do understand what you mean! Modern bill paying is more of a nuisance than a convenience. My recent problem was our local telephone company. They're a small time outfit but do offer on-line paying. I had been doing so until some idjit (excuse me) "updated" their website, now I can't access the info anymore. I was so upset I called them and said "just cancel the on-line paying, I'll go back to mailing it in." At least I know if they mess up a physical check it's their headache, not mine. I'm 'bout fed up to the hind teeth with modern life. It's nothing but one aggravation after another. *grin* Hope your day improved after the Verizon debacle.
    Luv ~:)
