LOOKING BACK............

As we just left behind another year, it is sometimes fun to remember days gone by.  I was on Pinterest yesterday and found some funny people, things, etc. from the l970's. Now, I realize some of you were not even born then, but those of us that were, might have fun looking at these!   Can you recognize any of them?

 AMERICAN BANDSTAND

I don't believe that our gas prices are going that low, but am thankful it has dropped some.  I am glad however, that shag carpet is out of style, that the hippie clothes are not around but do 'love' the Jackson Five's outfits!  NOT  My middle daughter got a Ms. Beasley one year for Christmas, and believe it or not, she still has it!  Do you remember the stool the clerk sat on to measure your foot?  How about the Tupperware Cake holder?  Did you have a Pet Rock?  Oh, and the Mood Ring...lol

We did absolutely nothing all day yesterday.  It made for a very long day.  It was raining and all that was on TV, was re-runs.  A person can watch just so many of them, and will become kooky!  We did manage to watch our Tennessee Vols beat Iowa in the Taxslayer Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida, and also saw Ohio State beat Alabama.

That is it for me.  Hoping today will be more exciting.  Til then, GOD BLESS US ALL!

  3. Having been born in 1956 I remember all these things and more. The 70s produced some of the finest music to-date, including, but not limited to, country music. I wish we could have the super low gas prices and a bit higher interest rates. The Zero interest rates are punishing the elderly for having savings. I guess things won't improve until the antichrist is out of office.
    Luv ~:)

I got all the Christmas decorations put away today. The house is back to normal and that feels good.

  5. I didn't have a Pet Rock or a mood ring, but I wore Dr. Scholl's for quite a few years in the '70s. Sometimes the 70s seem just a blip ago and other times they seem so far distant.

  6. This was such a fun post. I was born in the 50s so I remember all this stuff. Oh to be young again. I don't think the world is getting better as I get older.
