Two days ago, I wasn't sure what kind of Christmas I was going to have.  I was so sick. I truly believe it was something I got at the hospital because I was fine when I went in for the epidural, and by the time I got home, really, I was so sick.  But, praise the Lord, I am over it so whatever happened must have been a 24 hour bug!  And even better, no pain in my back!

Have you been shopping?  Are you already through?  What is your Christmas morning like?

I ordered all of my gifts online, except 2 and my daughter is going to pick up two gift certificates for manicures for my two oldest granddaughters.  We buy for the grandchildren, with a limit of $25.00 each, and we buy 2 chinese exchange gifts, with a $20.00 limit.  It was easy this year.

As my children are grown and have children of their own, of course they will all be at home.  We begin Christmas morning by going next door to see what Santa brought Jesse and Rayven.  Then we head to Signal Mtn. to see what Aryn and Grayce got and to have breakfast with them.

After breakfast, we head to our daughter's house across town to see what Caroline and Elizabeth got and visit with them for a while.

Then on the Saturday after Christmas, we have everyone come to our house for breakfast and a gift exchange.  We have done it this way since our children have been grown and it works good for us.

Pictures from Christmas past.............
I look forward to this year's pictures, as everyone is still with us and that means a lot.

  1. Yay!!!! So happy you are feeling better!
And I too order all my gifts online.
We live in a rural area, and online is so much easier.
Just all those boxes!!!! : )
Have a cozy day...ease back into it!

  2. I'm glad you are better. Your Christmas tradition sounds like so much fun!

  3. I'M SO HAPPY YOU ARE FEELING SO MUCH BETTER. Sorry about that, I wasn't shouting, I accidentally had the caps lock on and too lazy to retype. LOL Your way of handling the gifts and all sounds good to me. Also the visiting. But by the time we would make it to the four girls homes, one lives about 30 miles away, another about an hour away, and our son lives in Fl. His children are 33 and 32 and live on their own. It's easier to have who ever can make it come here to our place. We buy for the grandkids until they are about 21, then we stop, but I may send them a gift certificate to some food place so they can at least buy a meal or two out. $25.00 doesn't buy much now adays, but the younger ones 14 and 15 like it, but even they suggested either gift certificates or money so they can buy what they want. Our kids said, if we are going to exchange gift cards, just forget it, they would keep the money themselves and not have to buy gift cards. At this point, I don't much care. LOL I guess that's why I've always liked Thanksgiving as a holiday, family gets together no gifts involved. I did see some what they call lighted canvas, I think I will get one for each of our kids, something they can put out at Christmas or leave up all year. I got one for myself and really like it. Take care and don't over do things.

  4. You're feeling better is such splendid news! I worry about y'all. :) Please take it easy so there won't be a relapse. Your Christmas sounds so heavenly. Would you adopt me? I'm cheap and work hard. *lol* I wish our families where close. Aw well. I had to settle for good looks ... *roflol* Again, so happy you're better. Hope that news continues.
    Luv ~:)

  5. I am glad your feeling better. Sorry, I haven't been around. We're done shopping, hubby picked up the tree yesterday and he also decorated outside. It's just us 3 complaints. Blessings

  6. Praise God, Linda, that you are feeling 100% again!! Prayers answered! I LOVE your Christmas traditions with the kids. How nice that you and Jim can travel around and visit all the grands in their homes on Christmas morning! I remember, from previous posts, how great that day-after breakfast is. Wish I was there to join in!

  7. I'm so glad you're feeling better! I like how you do Christmas with the family. Great pictures!

  8. I'm happy to hear you're feeling better. Last night my husband and I returned from a holiday in America. I need to adjust to the time change and catch up with my blogging friends! Hugs to you.

  9. Thank God it's over. Hope you'll be well always especially this coming Christmas season. Have a lovely celebration with your loved ones! :)
