Good morning!  This is going to be a busy few days for us as our yearly Missionary Conference begins this morning.  We support 78 Missionaries around the world, and one is H.E.L.P. Ministries, and today 15 of the gentlemen from all different countries will be with us to show us their work, the country they live in, and how God has been working there.

Today several of the ones come from countries that are totally closed to the Word of God so they have to attempt to go into those in different ways - teachers, construction workers, etc.

There is a Bible camp nearby and they have allowed the missionaries to stay there during this week.  We will provide meals for them and be able to greet them and ask questions and learn from them.

This is one of Jim's favorite times of the church year.  I will be posting different events along the way.

God bless you and your family.

  1. This is truly noble work. Dangerous, too, in many countries. I pray that the missionaries, and your church, is successful in reaching others for Christ. God bless you all this Sunday. ~:)

  4. I've always enjoyed hearing the missionaries come talk about what it's like in these far away, dangerous countries. Every church in our area has missionaries they sponsor. It's such a blessing to see films and pictures they've taken of how God is working among the people. I'd love to hear more. Hope you and Jim have a good week.

  6. Our church supports missions, too, and we get representatives frequently to talk about the work they do. One of my co-workers has a daughter who is doing mission work in South America. It really is dangerous work - especially these days. I'll look forward to hearing more about all the events this week! Thanks for sharing!

  7. My cousin and her husband were missionaries. Once they started having children they decided to leave the missionary but their missionary work brought them to Alaska where they decided to put down their roots and raise their family. I'm so looking forward to hearing about more events!
