I don't have a clue where the title picture was taken, or who took it.  I just happened upon it and thought it was neat.  Whoever did it, had lots of patience and talent.

11 Things That Bring Us Great Comfort
1)  Grown children who call simply to say “thinking of you.”
2)  A pal you can call, any time of day or night, to lift you up, talk it over or hash it out.
3)  A home that makes you smile the moment you walk through the door.
4) A luxurious, handmade cashmere throw, in orange.
5)  A small local restaurant where you can dine solo and the owner makes you feel like family.
6)  Threadbare plaid flannel pajamas with mismatched buttons and a stretched-out waistband that you’ve got to hold together with safety pins.
7)  A lingerie drawer full of well-made, good-looking  panties, bras, etc., that you never wear.
8)  Enough money in the bank to protect you from unemployment, foreclosure & credit ruination.
9)  Albums crammed with family photos going back generations.
10) Memories of all the wonderful things you’ve done in your life so far.
11)Your wits and well-being.

Have a great, comfortable day!

  1. What a lovely list! There are so many (comforting) things to be thankful for, yet the business of life often causes us to overlook our blessings. Thank you for this reminder, I'm going to work on my own list now :)

  2. Excellent thoughts! I'm playing catch-up again! I've been so busy and will continue to be for a while, but I hope to compose my own entry one day very soon.

  3. Excellent! I have a red cashmere throw..lol on #7! Cute bras and panties? What's that? LOL--I wish I could afford nice "linens" as my grandma use to say. Blessings

  4. Just having a home to land in at the end of the day. I always look forward to coming home.

  5. That is a great list, Linda, and a very interesting cover photo! My greatest comfort is my family and my faith.

  6. I love your list and I agree! Great header shot too.
