Good morning everyone.  First of all, I want to tell you how very much I appreciate your prayers and concern.  I don't have a large number of friends on Blogger, mainly because I cant keep up with a lot, but also I feel closer to a few and can count on you.  Our situation hasn't changed, but we are still praying and working on it. Again, thank you.

Times really are changing.  Clothes, manners, prices, music, and on and on.  I used to think I understood what people were talking about, but now....I don't have a clue about some music, and language being used today.  I woke up one morning, not to many weeks, and months ago, and realized that I am now officially 'out of the loop'!

I shake my head and smile when my grandchildren are telling me something that I don't understand.  Then I run to my computer and look it up!  Sometimes I still don't understand...lol

Kids seem so much smarter than in my young years.  I don't know if TV is teaching them, or the parents, or maybe even school.  They laugh when I am telling a story of the 'old days'.  It probably seems like it was light years ago.  I bet some of you never had to do the following, or maybe even knew about it........

How about this one.......

Some things never change and I am thankful for those.  At least I can see and recognize life.

Got to take Jim for a laser procedure on his spine this morning.  He has had it before and it eased the constant pain some, so he is willing to try again.  Say a little prayer.

  1. Well, you're not the only one "out of the loop" - I am too! I'm clueless about a lot of things these days. My husband and I will pray for Jim today as he has that procedure done today. I hope it will relieve some of his pain. Hugs to you!

  2. Oh back pain is so miserable. Praying for your hubby to have relief from this procedure.

I grinned through much of this post. I think you are very hip if you remained in the loop until recently. I was out of the loop by the time I was twenty. LOL!

Oh the mere thought of doing a cartwheel is causing me pain. I won't be trying it!

    1. One might think a former teacher could have used the correct preposition. < insert wry grin > I do not wish that your husband have relief from the procedure, but relief with the procedure, though if healing comes first, that's great.

  5. I'm the same way. My grandchildren talk about things I have no clue what it's about. And I don't like it.
I never had to do the paper bag book covers, but my daughters all had to. I don't know how many books I had to do in their school years.
I hope Jim's treatment today gives him the relief he needs.
Take care and God bless you both.

  6. Yes, kids do seem smarter in some ways, but not so smart in some of the more important ways.
I just want to say that I'm always happy to come here and see how things are in your neck of the woods. Praying for Jim today - and you too!

  7. With what most people are saying and doing, I am proud to be officially out of the loop! Actually, the kids aren't smarter, they only have a different knowledge, like we had compared to our parents.
As for the brown paper bag book cover and the pop can straw holder ... oh yeah, done them all.
I pray that Jim has complete relief now. Y'all both stay safe.
    Luv ~:)
