DID YOU KNOW?

Saturday -- Saturn's day

Middle English - saterday
Old English - sæter(nes)dæg "Saturn's day"
Latin - dies Saturni "day of Saturn"
Ancient Greek - hemera Khronu "day of Cronus"
Saturn is the Roman and Italic god of agriculture and the consort of Ops. He is believed to have ruled the earth during an age of happiness and virtue.

Good Saturday morning and hope you are enjoying the weekend.  As usual, we have no plans and will just wait and see what happens.

Jim and I went out to eat last night. He wanted either a prime rib or seafood and I got to choose. We had steak, and at this particular restaurant, they have baked sweet potatoes with brown sugar and cinnamon on them. Need I say more?  lol

  2. I finally found my list of favorite blogs. LOL I can misplace the dumbest things. Looks like rain here, still pretty cool. Feels like Fall is coming. I like to see the leaves turning, but to me Fall is rather depressing, everything dying and falling off. I guess it's because I know Winter is right around the corner. So far, it's now 2pm and Abe or the Granddaughter neither one was gotten dressed. Some days they stay in the PJ's all day, then towards evening, bath and put on clean jammies. You two have a wonderful evening.

    1. Glad we are back on track now. We do the same thing on Saturday - nothing! lol I know what you mean by fall being depressing, but it is my favorite season and I am looking forward to it. I cant sit on the porch in the summer because the bugs eat me alive. Enjoy the evening.

  4. The steak with baked sweet potatoes sounds heavenly! Now I want some.

We where productive today: grocery shopping, changed oil in the truck, put Systemic on roses and trimmed them, cleaned house, bathed the "Terriorists". Whew. We're both pooped now. *lol*

    I hope y'all are having a wonderful day! ~:)
