COFFEE, COFFEE EVERYWHERE AND NOT A DROP TO DRINK!

The above coffee pot was made for me!
The only problem, I couldn't drink fast enough.
I could, however, pour and share with my friends this morning!

Friday, how did you get here so fast?
The holiday weekend is upon us and I hope you enjoy.

Apple Bread
Yield: Makes 1 loaf.
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup chopped, peeled apples
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/4 cup chopped nuts
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sour milk (or add 1/2 teaspoon vinegar to regular milk)
Cream together butter and sugar and beat until light. Add egg and blend, then stir in fruit and nuts. Combine dry ingredients, and add alternately with milk. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven for about an hour.

  3. The recipe sounds yummy. Personally, I'm a nut for Banana Nut bread. I love coffee but it doesn't love me. Caffeine makes my heart race because of MVP.
    The blog is looking great!
Hope y'all are doing well and enjoying life.
    Luv ~:)

  4. I don't drink coffee. I tried, but just do not like the taste. Decaf tea for me because of the heart. (MVP too.)

Thanks for the apple bread recipe. I'm going to try it.
