...........FLOCK TOGETHER!

Yes, birds of a feather do flock together, as we do here.  We find friends that seem to have things in common, such as family, faith, work, and we invite them to become friends.  I am at the age and stage of my life, that I don't get out and go, or do as much as I used to. My family, and church family are mostly the people I have contact with these days.  That is one reason I enjoy the computer and having friends to connect with, if only by typed words.  I look forward each day to seeing what you have been doing, watching your family grow through pictures here and copying your recipes and giving them a try!  We share joys and heartaches, fun things and serious things, but all in all, we share and in so doing, become friends.  I have several friends here that I have known for years.  I have met two face to face, but even those I haven't, I still feel I know you, from what you post.

Moving on, do you ever feel you are turning in circles?  I wake up with a plan for the day and before I know it, something or someone has come along and changed my whole day.  For some reason, I cant get motivated.  I have mending to do, cleaning I should definitely do, but simply put, I just don't want to do any of it.  I wonder if it is age related, weather related, time of the year or just what it might be.  I sit and stare out of the window, or sit on the porch and watch the cars go by.  Not very fulfilling I must say.  Oh, I know, I could read, I could do all the chores that need doing, but again, I don't want to. I may be a little depressed, but it will pass - it always does.  Guess I need someone to give me swift kick, huh???

On a happier note, I mentioned and posted a picture of the mother and her 4 new born kittens at my son's house.  They want me to take one when they are old enough. I didn't think Jim would go for it, but he made a statement that he thought Cali and a new friend would get along fine!  I haven't really decided if I want to do that or not, but it is a good thought.  I used to have 2 cats at the same time, and they do entertain one another, so we shall see.

Hope your Friday is a good one, and your weekend be filled with fun and love.

  1. I love that little cartoon. I bought one of my grandsons a shirt, when he was younger, that said something about running away and going to Grandma's.
I have those same feelings you're talking about. I can't get motivated either. I have so much that needs my attention but just can't find the will to do them. I feel it's just laziness, but it's not. I don't think so. Not sure what it is.
I can also agree with you about the friends online. I don't have a social life anymore. All I have are my online friends. Some of them I'm beginning to feel close to that when they're hurting or going through a rough time, I want to reach out and give them a hug.
I hope you have a great day.

  2. Well said..I really do not have many friends outside this house. I/we have met Sparky and her hubby, and that is about it, Oh, there are many online friends who email or post everyday and that is a blessing. Depression is something we all deal with..and age has nothing to do with it. Great post..hope you all get a kitten for Ms. Cali. Blessings

  3. Good post Linda. I feel like I'm friends with almost all the folks I follow. There's a couple of political ones I follow only for news but y'all are special. I hurt when you hurt. I laugh when you laugh. We're friends! As Simply Linda states above, I've met her and family. Also met two other bloggers I follow that live in Texas. All nice folks. Wish we all lived closer.

I'm having the same Lack 'a Daisy problem. I thought maybe I'm mildly depressed or overly concerned or it's the Dog Days of Summer heat? I've had a bad week (thus the lack of posting) and I probably made it worse by worry. I hate summer anyway. It culminated into my being sickly today. Anyway, I hope you can feel motivated soon. Maybe let's all just pray about each other right now. I think we all need a leg up this week.

Thinking of you all from the steamy South. Luv ~:)

  4. Oh, Linda, I am having a huge lack of motivation period, too. There is so much to do, and I just don't care.

I think a second cat is a great idea! They are great company for each other, AND for you! Sounds like Jim might be up for it. Two are no more trouble than one, and kittens are just so darn cute! Keep us posted!

  5. I think a second cat is a great idea. You will be so entertained, and so will Cali.
It's true that we do flock together, I find that most of my blogging friends and I share similar beliefs.
