"When it comes to thought, some people stop at nothing".

For the middle and high schools in my area, it is exam week. The days are re-arranged due to some exams taking literally hours to finish.  I feel for these young people, because believe or not, I remember those days. Example: Aryn has an honors class exam in Social Studies/History.  I don't care what they say, 4 hours is entirely too long.  Hope they get breaks.

 Have you ever heard of the Egg Drop Project?  They may have done this when I was in school, but I don't remember it. Grayce had to do it this week, and her egg didn't break. (Her sister Aryn's egg broke when she did it!) You would have thought she had won the lottery!

The egg drop is a classic science experiment, but it can still be pretty intimidating if you've never successfully completed it. To drop an egg without breaking it, you need to find a way to minimize the force of the impact and its effects on the delicate egg shell. The best ways to do this are to cushion the egg while also changing the way it drops and the way it lands. (That is bubble wrap in that bowl)

It is sports finals too...region, sub state, state, etc. Busy time at school as it winds down for the year.

    Good luck to your grandkids! I fully understand and experience their exams pain. Prayfully we will find out Liam's soon (as in tomorrow). I had to chuckle over the blog header..how true that is. Blessings

    Congrats to the girls!! My goodness, I don't thing I EVER took a 4-hour exam! Can't imagine. We didn't do the egg-drop experiment when I was in school, but one of our summer camp art teachers has the kids design a holder for the egg and they drop it from the top of a ladder. The kids seem to have fun doing it. I remember both Lauren and Tristan doing it, and I think their eggs both made it without breaking. Have a good Friday, Linda!

    My kids had to do the egg drop too. Both girls did it, but Andy's broke. Fun memories!

    I don't remember having unusually long exams like kids have nowadays. I pray your grands do well. Never done the egg drop. Guess I'm outta touch (as usual). *lol* ~:)

    Yes. 4 hours is way too long for any exam, unless they are allowed breaks every 30 mins. or so. Hopefully allowed water bottles and peppermint candies to suck on. Have a great week-end. Thanks for your visits.

    When I was in school --- way back when --- our exams only lasted the length of that period. Never over an hour. The poor kids today. I think that's asking way too much of them.
